  • RASPAGEM, ALISAMENTO E POLIMENTO CORONÁRIO E RADICULAR (RAPCR)

  • Friday case! Patient had a defect porcelain fuse to metal (PFM) bridge restoration 11 (23) to 13 (25) and wanted individual teeth again due to difficulty keeping clean the areas. Also, pain on tooth #14 (26) due to reinfection on a root canal never restore for more than 1 year. The Endodontist Specialist recommend root canal retreatment, however patient does not want it. The patient consent for zirconia implant #12 (24), and extraction of tooth #14(26) with bone graft for future implant restoration. The digital treatment evaluation was conducted with Scanora 3DX CBCT, Trios 3 Intraoral scan and @3shape Implant studio. @formlabs 2 3D printer was employed for confection of a surgical guide. PFM bridge, amalgam build up and decay (cavity) were removed with SMART protocol. Decontamination of the teeth with chlorhexidine and ozone. Build up was done with composite build up material and re-prep for crown and bridge restoration. Surgical guide was used to place a all ceramic @zeramexusa XT RB (zirconia implant). To improve the healing process Protein Rich Plasma (PRF) and primary closure chromic gut sutures were used on area of #12. The provisional (temporary) bridge was made with Luxatemp for healing purpose. Surgical extraction of tooth #14(26) was done. The surgical area was decontaminated with surgical currents, burs, chlorhexidine, normal saline 0.9% & ozone. Surgical Piezo instrument was used for sinus elevation. Sinus and socker graft were done with PRF, B-TCP bone graft @augmabio, Colla plug @zimmerbiometdental & nylon sutures. The case was conducted under IV Sedation by Dr. Luis A Alicea at Your Desired Smile, Tampa, Florida

  • Case by the amazing @dr.gothsiu ・・・
12 years ago, I was asked why I wanted to get into @penndentalmed. Like many applicants, I said I wanted to change people’s lives. Truth is, I had no clue how I was going to do that. Do people even care about teeth? Don’t people hate dentists?! 8 years ago, I was asked why I wanted to be a prosthodontist. Again, like many applicants I said I wanted to change people’s lives. Truth is, I still didn’t know how I was going to do that. Isn’t prosthodontics “a dying speciality”? I, like many people, had no clue what dentistry or prosthodontics could do. It is really up to dentists to educate the public of the power of dentistry and up to prosthodontists to educate others about the speciality. To many, dentistry plays a minor part in their lives. Routine checkups and cleanings. But to some, it DOES change their lives.
About this photo: An amazingly transformative perio-prosth case where we saved every tooth. The existing teeth were very small and large spaces were present. Structurally most of the teeth needed crowns due to caries, wear and large failing restorations. A diagnostic wax up showed that the spaces could be closed by making the teeth more normal in size. The patient accepted the proposed plan. Hygiene had to be improved. The gums were treated and lifted up by periodontist @yeung7187. Afterwards, we restored everything with emax crowns. Ceramics by @yuzomatsumura_rdt. Note the supernumerary tooth on the lower! .... but most people would not notice it from a social distance. A nightguard and frequent recalls are required. A very pleasant and amazing patient to help out. • It's not 'how long' but 'how well' you have lived that counts. A simple line that says it all. Not having teeth may not be a big deal for many but depriving a Bengali woman of her wish, a Chinese man of his noodles, a gujrati elder of sweets, a Mexican old aged man of his tacos, a south Indian elder of his rice, an American of his hamburger is not about his teeth but about his happiness.
Though it is important it may not be affordable or may not be convenient for many, hence the conventional methods prevail.
We at Imex care make an attempt to add modern methods to these conventional ways and make a difference

Gone are the days of ugly old metal clasps and dentures, here are lightweight metal free flexible dentures with better seating at Imprssns n Exprssns clinic Thubarahalli Whitefield Bangalore
