We like to keep our growing green. That's why we limit our use of herbicides and pesticides and only apply them when necessary. That means fewer chemicals for you and more sustainable practices for us 💚 To learn more about our sustainable practices, check out our website (link in bio) 🍍
The aftermath of fires inside and around Nightcap National Park, northern NSW Australia.
More than 2,000 hectares of rainforest burned. A sad figure seeing as only 1% of this regions rainforest exists. Formally it was over 75,000 hectares and today it is fragmented throughout the northern NSW region.
This region will be our first priority in 2020 and 2021 when site assessments are conducted and we know how much regeneration can occur naturally and how much we need to help.
With the help of you buying trees through our website and with the amazing partnership with @ecosia giving profits from tomorrow’s searches on Ecosia to Reforest Now we will hopefully have thousands of trees that will find a home here.
Of course this will take time, we need to grow the trees! Our nursery is expanding and will produce approximately 80,000 trees annually.
Your support is helping us grow and plant trees to regenerate and conserve this precious rainforest and surrounding rainforest fragments.
Ready to hunt some lemurs! 🎥 #madagascar has a unique fauna and the rainforest is bursting with these lovely creatures. You can hear them scream-singing long before you see them! 🎵 👄

—————————————— In the cold weather outside 🥶 times a little summery mood 🏝 the plant is photographed in the chocolate manufacture in Cologne. 🌺🍫 They simply have a mini rain forest there. The only thing missing were the animals 😅 apart from the beautiful plants it's also worth going there for the chocolate. —————————————— #rainforest#lindt#lindtchocolate#cologne#flowers#manufacturing#flower#flowerstagram#lindtschokolade#köln#germany
Army Ants move across the forest floor with little to no resistance. Each individual ant will use their own bodies to create bridges and connections between any obstacle on the trail. At times they will even create tunnels to allow for the transport of their precious larvae. You can see a good example of larvae being transported in the bottom right of this photograph. A word of advice: Don’t linger over ants with a 68mm macro for too long, they will climb up your lens and bite/sting you repeatedly. 🥴

Bioluminescent mushrooms like this Mycena sp. begins to glow at night. With their own light they can attract insects, which could pick up spores on their bodies. With this behavior the Mushrrom spread the spores over a bigger area than they might otherwise have traveled in a relatively windless forest.
Some of you may have heard of ECOSIA, it’s an internet search engine that commits its revenue to tree planting projects across the world.
YOU CAN BE A PART OF THIS.
Instead of using google on your personal/work devices, switch to Ecosia. Tomorrow they will be dedicating all of their profits to Australia. We all know how desperate and dire the situation is in Australia, we can all do a little something to help.
Ecosia profits are generated from your usage of their search engine.
For this to be effective, you must click on the Ad websites that your search throws up (it says Ad on the left before the website address) Ecosia’s revenue is generated from those websites when you click on their sites. Even if you don’t want to buy from that website, just click on to them anyway to raise the very much needed funds for Ecosia’s tree planting projects.
Ecosia also gives you a monthly breakdown of how much money has been spent on different tree planting activities across the world. Very insightful and extremely heart-warming.
On Friday, Ecosia will announce how many trees it will be able to plant as a result of tomorrow’s bid to raise money for Australia’s bush fires.
It doesn’t cost you anything, just a bit of your time and your desire to help restore, regenerate and protect our planet and our wildlife.
Going forward and not just for tomorrow, we should be using Ecosia as our default search engine. They have already planted approximately 81 million trees globally, let’s keep this number growing and growing.
