  • that first sip of coffee ☕️ the first few seconds when you crawl into bed at night 😴 and that first bite into fresh sourdough bread 😍 it’s the little things, right?
I’ve got some figgin’ delicious sourdough slices to celebrate friday! 💃💕 these sweet and savory toasts going down after a killer @soulcycle class with @k_dalziel 🚴🏻‍♀️
It’s quite the rainy + gloomy day, so perfect weather to be all cozy inside studying all day 📚 although I am looking forward to having an Easter dinner with my cousins tonight!
I bring this up quite a bit, but I think it’s a really important thing to remember: Instagram is a highlight reel and is not the full picture of anyone’s life. I find myself often comparing my life to others and judging myself for not doing exciting things each day, eating a certain way, not using cleaner beauty products, etc. I’m reminding myself (and in turn, you too! 😊) that we are all so fortunate, and have so many amazing things to be grateful for. we are all so different and unique, and remember to take everything you see with a grain of salt, and choose love, kindness and compassion!

  • Great feature by @mindbodygreen on my food-as-medicine approach to keto and what I typically eat in a day. Happy to be a part of the conversation on how a #keto diet can be a sustainable approach to eating that serves to balance and heal the body while emphasizing importance of whole real foods. This piece accurately depicts a day of my intake and includes meals with sulfur-containing veggies, leafy, greens, sprouts, fat added to my matcha, and of course eggs (a lot of them) and grassfed steak 🥩!!! With all the backlash on keto from medical practitioners that speak from a place of misinformation or misunderstanding (ie nutritional ketosis is NOT ketoacidosis 🤦🏻‍♀️) I hope this sheds some perspective and light! I’ll link piece in my IG stories as a swipe, check it out and share!

Lo compré hace unos días y empiezo a entender muchas cosas que caracterizan mi relación con la comida. 
Triste? Como. Alegre? Como. No sé que me pasa? Como. Y obviamente, nada sano. 
Sinceramente, el físico me importa, a quién no? pero me preocupa más mi salud, mis órganos. 
Delgadez no es sinónimo de salud, ni obesidad sinónimo de enfermedad. 
Recomendadísimo se queda corto! .

  • Shish-kabob night last night 😍 We did yellow squash, zucchini, onions, chicken and grilled pineapple (my favorite!). Totally forgot we had mushrooms until we sat down to eat. I love this meal because it is so versatile, you can add a little oil and whatever seasonings you are feeling or based on what is compliant for you and it comes out delicious!

• Member of ta different family (not a close relative to regular potatoes)⠀
✅ Better source of vitamin C than white potatoes⠀
✅ Much better source of vitamin A (one cup of SP meets over 100% of your daily vitamin A requirement)⠀
✅ Slightly better source of fiber when compared by 100g

✅ Better source of iron and potassium than SP⠀
✅ Better source of folate⠀
✅ Higher in resistant starch, especially when cooked and cooled (a type of carbohydrate that promotes gut health and blood sugar control)

✅ Very similar in energy & macro composition⠀
✅ You can absolutely eat and enjoy both as part of a balanced diet
✅ Extra note: both of them have a similar glycemic index and load depending on the cooking method. -
White potatoes have been demonized due to the belief that they can inherently cause weight gain. The truth is that it’s the cooking process and ingredients that are often added that can cause potatoes to become energy dense (eg. deep frying and processing into potato chips). Ideally, use cooking methods such as baking, boiling and steaming if you want to avoid this.

Se entiende esto como un buen desayuno, pero hay que matizar ¿que cereales? Si son los típicos comerciales llenos de azúcares ya te digo que hay muchas mejores opciones.

Este desayuno puede estar fuera de lo normal pero:
Beneficios: Nutricionales-Salud
“Contras”: Tiempo (se tarda más en realizarlo que coger unas galletas o cereales y echarlos a la leche. —————-
Algo sencillo para que veáis que se puede salir de lo típico/normalizado.
