  • Double tap if you've ever shot your partner *that* look 😒🙄 Somehow, husbands seem to have this uncanny ability to sleep right through all those baby cries at night right?! Must be nice lol 😂🤔😑
✨
But really though, my husband is actually super hands on and willing to to help me out (I just have to wake him up first 😆) Let's just say, a quick smack in the middle of the night does the trick lol 🤣
✨
Hands up if you're in the same boat 🙋🙋
Thank you to @cultiver_goods for the amazing sheets, hopefully I'll catch more 💤💤 on them soon 🤞🤞

  • Concerned about protein? Little one not eating meat? No problem! ⁣They may need less than you think.⁣ 🤔⁣⠀
⁣⠀
"Official" Toddler Protein Servings Sizes (ages 2-3)⁣⠀
⁣⠀
* solid meat, poultry, fish, or tofu - two 1-inch cubes⁣⠀
⁣* ground meat - 2 tbs⁣⠀
* egg - 1/2⁣⠀
* dried beans, peas, lentils - 2 tbs⁣⠀
* peanut butter (spread thin) - 1 tbs⁣⠀
* milk - 4 oz⁣⠀
* cheese - 1-inch cube⁣⠀
* yogurt - 1/3 cup⁣⠀
⁣⠀
⁣Kids may eat more or less than this - especially if they are disgusted! I make a point to serve a protein food at every meal and snack.⁣ This helps them stay full to the next meal or snack (see my last post on snacking for more info).⁣ 🙌⁣⠀

  • A reminder: in those moments when you feel alone and at your lowest, there’s another mama going through it too. It’s hard and it’s okay to say that. #MamasGetReal —— “I don’t have it all together. I’m not the best laundry-doer. I’m definitely not the best cook. A lot of the time, I’m just barely hanging on. Sometimes, I think I shouldn’t find this so hard. I think to myself, get it together. You have a supportive husband and aren’t doing this alone. You ‘only’ have one child. It shouldn’t feel this hard, just get it together. But that’s just the thing. This is motherhood. And it comes with so many different experiences. All of them are hard. All of them can feel scary and overwhelming. My fears in it all run deep. Probably just as deep as every other mom. I don’t have the answers majority of the time. I get frustrated. I question my decisions. ‘Maybe I’m just not good at this...’ I whisper to myself as my emotions bottle up for the hundredth time today. When I feel my anxiety at a peak. When I just don’t know what I’m supposed to do. When I think I’m getting more comfortable with this season just to realize I have entered a new one. When it seems like I’m the only one who can’t get herself together, dressed, and out the door on time. But that’s just the thing. This is motherhood. And while we may not always see it from the outside, it really is that hard. In the mess, in the chaos, in the laughs, in the moments that remind us that we were made for this. We are doing such a great job.” - @meg.boggs

  • Boy, do I miss this.. Miss everything about it, well maybe not the last month so very much but yes, I miss being pregnant! 👉🏼What’s your favorite and least favorite part about being pregnant? (I still had two more months to go from this photo!)
.
.
.
Loved feeling their movements, seeing/feeling their elbows and knees, remembering that first time you felt their little flutters! Being able to talk to them and sing to them is a great memory. .
.
Hey, Let’s be real, the attention you receive is something that sticks out tremendously. I felt like a queen! And It is so nice to see strangers giving a helping hand to a pregnant lady. .
.
The Mama bear feeling of protection you hold while you carry them is a feeling that just comes rushing through your veins throughout your whole body and takes over!
.
.
The overall feeling of the unknown but yet the rush and excitement that soon you will meet baby and how much you love them and just carrying them for all these months is a big thrill..
.
.
The scary moments for me were all the ultrasounds as I was scared to find something wrong. But as scary as it was for me, I was also so relieved and happy to be able to see them. Seeing the 3D image also made it so surreal and heartwarming.
Thinking of the operating room was a little nerve wrecking as I’ve never been there before!
.
.
The hardest part were the last two months where I kind of just became immobile. It just became harder to walk, stand, sit, breathe, lay, sleep. You know all the essentials needed in life! I also had intense back pain. Found that I couldn’t do much.
Showers were terrible, I had to just stand there while my husband bathed or shaved me. Walking up the stairs in my house was a killer, I remember crying up or down.
.
.
.
Many pros and cons and even with all the cons here, I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Nothing will ever make me as complete, happy and blessed than that of my children. .
.
.

  • You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they will be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Just breathe, notice, study their faces and little feet. Pay attention. Relish the charm of the present. Enjoy today. It will be over before you know it. ♥️ #anonymous .

  • Riding into a new week like ... V!
Look what happened yesterday!
.
A couple of questions for you, friends. For this week and in general:
🔸 giveaways.
Do you like them?
Do you prefer something similar to what is running now, where we put a giveaway together as a group?
Or would you prefer a maybe smaller giveaway where you don’t have to follow anyone but tag a friend, for example?
Also, what do you like? What kind of prizes? What is interesting for you?
.
🔸 posts
Do you want just life, something informative ( like parenting topics?), topics about self-care, health and wellness, topics on personal motivation, topics about creative work and photography?
Topics on relationships? Personal? Marriage? Kids?
Topics on beauty? Every-day fun finds? Deals?
Raising technologically-smart kids in real world?
.
We can focus on a few topics during a week or maybe do a “marathon week” per topic, where the entire week we just talk about one thing, but more in depth.
.
What do you think?

TAGS for those who are asking!
.
BIKE ( with removable training wheels): @retrospec , love them. We have different ones for older kids and I just bought one for myself too. They are really great!

V’s OUTFIT: @minimioche , and yes, love them! Soft, washes easily, wears fabulously.

  • I was telling my husband last night that I feel like Hudson is growing the fastest out of all our babies. I honestly have such a faint memory already of when he was first born, it seems like I blinked my eyes and he was as big as he is now at just 2 months old. How in the world does that happen!? 😫

  • Monday has arrived and I am so excited about this week! I have some fun things coming and I’m excited to share✨. .
.
I also wanted to continue our home tour to my pantry. I will tell you it brings me lots of joy especially when I need a place to hide for a quick unshared snack or just a place to hide😂. .
.
I’m also excited it’s day 21 of our #30daysweatpantchallenge and at this point I should probably just include this @oldnavy denim jacket as part of my #momiform 😉 .
.
Have a fabulous and caffeinated Monday 💕

  • 🌿Enjoying my time with this little babe. Sometimes we wished that our kids grow up so fast so we get over with the baby routines and to be able to do what we needed to do as an adult. But the baby routines are only for a very short period of time so might as well soaked it all up and enjoy every minute of it. Things can be put off if they’re not urgent needs. Worry less and choose your kids. They are everything in the world and I mean it!🌿

If you're an asshole, you're an asshole. Ik hoop dat ik mijn kind kan opvoeden om zich niet te laten leiden door angst maar door liefde en rechtvaardigheid. En ik hoop dat iedereen die ik ken die in mijn geliefde studiestadje woont veilig is ❤

  • Weekends are special these days. I am usually low key on social media focusing on being 💯 present and running around like a crazy lady trying to get everything done before Sunday night.

Running an online business and being "unplugged" during the weekends is challenging at times. It would be so easy to log on, go through emails, work on content, and reach out to clients all within nap time. But taking this time to focus on myself care + our marriage, has been the best decision.

Because let's be honest, transitioning from newly married to parent of a baby is… challenging.

I think that many people feel like they have to always be posting and engaged on social media. People that I talk to that want to become a market influencer are always worried about soil media taking over their lives. But the thing is, it is just like anything else. You set boundaries and decide what's right for you-- and if you're like me, unplug and shift when need be.

I think we all need seasons of evaluation-- and its good for us! No matter when the shift happens every area of life will benefit from it.

So this weekend we did just that. Focused on our marriage, our sweet girl and making memories as a family. We, of course, celebrated our heritage 🍀 yesterday by dressing in green and seeing family.

Cheers to Monday friends, I hope your cup is filled and you're ready to tackle the week 👌

  • Happy Monday!

I think now that the weather seems a lot more sunnier, Monday’s have been a little nicer. But it surely doesn’t change how tired I wake up and how many times I stumble making my way to the bathroom just to be quiet enough to not wake up Calvin.

Isn’t it crazy how much everything you do revolves around a little tiny person? Maybe for you it’s someone or thing.

As a parent, your space is surrounded by all things that belong to him or her. They become the “ why” to your decisions. They become the reason you desire to better yourself and make decisions you were to scared to do before.

As our family goes through transitions these next couple of months, we pray to trust that God will walk with us through the decisions we make and believe that He is for all three of us.

What or who is your “ Why” ?
I’d love to hear from y’all. #transparentcitymama

  • I’m writing this post in hopes that it will encourage just ONE mom struggling with the guilt and decision to formula feed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I always planned to breastfeed...but I’m not. This photo is not a beautiful monochromatic breastfeeding photo that I always imagined having. But I LOVE this photo because my daughter is being fed and is happy...and I’m sane and happy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I felt selfish, like I didn’t try hard enough, and that I couldn’t do something that I *should* be able to do as a mother. I struggled so much to breastfeed that I started pumping to bottle feed while supplementing. I was barely sleeping, had little to no time to eat a meal, and was so stressed about keeping up my supply. My pump literally felt like a second baby I had to tend to after I fed my actual baby! I was miserable and in the long run, it was not helping my daughter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After many tears and struggling with guilt, I decided to dry up my milk and start exclusively formula feeding. For the first time I watched my baby enjoy a full feeding and I was able to take my time throughout the day to bond with my daughter. It was such a huge relief and I actually felt like myself again! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m here to remind you that FED IS BEST. No matter how you choose to do so 💕

  • ⁣ Today, no truer words have been spoken. With yesterday being my Friday, (yes I know it was Sunday but this is nurse speak) I stayed up late and then Liam woke up at 430. But WHYYYY 😩⁣
⁣
Is there even enough coffee and Ningxia in existence to help me today?? ⁣

  • 🎁📚 HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS to my two favorite TWO year olds! 📚🎁
.
These guys light up my every day. I consider myself blessed to have been given the miracle and gift of these two. From the very moment I found out there were TWO 😟😱😍 (basically the progressions of feelings 😂) to the moment they snuggled into my chest for the first time 😭❤️, to caring for them in NICU, praying for their health, worrying over each beep of the monitors and believing that God had placed them in our family for a reason.
.
These two have taught me more in their 2 years than they will ever know.
.
Happy Birthday my sweet boys. Mommy is so enthralled by you.
.
P.S. keep an eye out for another post today. I can’t contain all the swirling emotions of my 2 turning 2. ☺️😌

  • Sitting here folding laundry and listening to Girl, Stop Apologizing by @msrachelhollis Have you read it yet? So much truth & wisdom.✨ And this quote? Seriously all the YES. 💯
.
.
.
I used to have the tv on for background noise alllll the time up until a couple of years ago. It was just a habit. 🤷🏽‍♀️
.
.
.
It wasn’t until I started working hard on myself with my team that I started becoming more self-aware of all the “things” that were kinda shaping my mind and causing more anxiety without even really realizing it. Like...the news for instance. All that really does is scare the crap out of us and show us all the things we cannot control. (There are some good parts of course but the majority seems to be scarY. 😳)
.
.
.
I’m so glad I kicked that old habit to the curb. Feels pretty empowering to pick up my invisible remote to life and change the channel or in this case turn off that part completely and listen to a book like this one instead, ya know? #positivemindpositivelife
.
.
.
What is one old habit you’d like to ditch? Is it something you could do or start working on today?
.
.
.
What if we picked up our invisible remotes and changed the channel today...how much could our worlds instantly change? 🌎
.
.
.
➕Maybe it’s saying no to social media for multiple hours at a time.
➕Maybe it’s saying no to the candy drawer at our desk and instead clearing it out to make room for some healthy snacks instead.
➕Maybe it’s saying no to drinks after work and saying yes to a fitness class.
.
.
.
Write down something you want to get rid of that you know is not good for you and take action today. I promise you...you won’t even miss whatever it is that you decide to ditch because you’ll be so dang satisfied you chose you instead. 😊

.
Food prep tip: 👉🏼reuse glass jars to keep veggies & products super fresh throughout the week!
👉🏼Instead of making premade meals, try prepping by item, that way you can mix & match & you are not committed to one menu all week.
👉🏼also, tiny dance parties to keep the little one entertained ✨💖

  • Wishing I could rewind time and go back to snuggling in bed yesterday with this cute cat😂❤️
.
Driving in the car for too many hours this weekend, sitting at a teacher in service day Friday, and being 35 weeks pregnant has definitely taken its toll on me
.
Swollen feet, pins and needles, and just feeling like crap. But it’s off to teach kindergarten for the day and then home to take a nap😴
.
Let’s just say.. if you know me, I’m not a person to relax, sit, or not do anything. I always have mile long to do list and I guess I just enjoy being busy.
.
So even though I’m not allowed to workout too intensely, I also know how important it is to move. So after a day of rest in bed and elevating my feet, I’m ready for today and to see if I’m able to get some yoga in tonight to keep this body moving

.
Heading back to New York this morning and I can’t say I’m ready to go back to the cold. Florida just reminds me so much of Manila... of my home... and of summer 🌻🍉💦. I’m so happy that June got to run around in her tank top and shorts / swimsuit👙 this weekend - because that’s pretty much what my childhood was about. What was your childhood like? #mommydiaries

  • I know some days are tough-really tough. Some phases in your life that consist of weeks, months, or even years may have passed with great difficulty and you’re unsure how you made it through, but you did. Even if things are going relatively well in your life now, you may still have those days that weigh so heavily on your heart and mind and you feel a tightness in your chest for some reason that you just can’t put your finger on.
.
I want you to know that you have a beautiful heart dear mama. Your heart experiences the whole range of possible emotions, sometimes all in one day. You have so much love for your children and your family, yet you have this nagging worry in your mind that doesn’t leave you. You feel proud of your children, you feel concern for their well-being, you feel sad, you feel happy, you feel disappointed, you feel lonely and you feel exhausted. I want you to know that your feelings are valid and although you may sometimes think that you “shouldn’t” feel a certain way-that’s just not the way emotions work. The important thing with our feelings is to acknowledge them, sit with them, recognize them, accept them, then find ways to cope with them.
.
The importance of taking care of your heart dear mama is essential. It entails trying to listen to what is going on inside of you, what you’re feeling, how those feelings are impacting your thoughts, and as a result, the impact it will have on your body and your behaviour. What do I mean by taking care of your heart? It could mean putting boundaries in place. It may entail unfollowing certain people from social media because their presence does not bring any positive value to your life. It entails finding a way to make time for yourself where you can rejuvenate and do something you love. It entails viewing yourself as a valuable, worthy human being who is deserving of compassion and understanding. It can entail trying to love yourself and forgive yourself for past mistakes and work through the guilt that has festered over time.

  • Current status: finally getting around to cleaning Riley's closet. And sobbing.

Yes, I am the mom who ugly cries as she packs away the clothes that my girls have outgrown. I have accepted that we are done having babies, but the realization of that fact hits me REALLY hard sometimes, and this is one of them.

But while I sit here with tears streaming down my face, I am also the mom who feels incredibly grateful to have two beautiful and healthy children. I am the mom who struggled with fertility and worried at one point that I would never be able to have one baby, let alone two.

I realize how blessed I am to have two sweet girls who I have watched play and grow in these clothes. As I sit in the middle of this mess, I am also surrounded by the memories that go with them. The birthday celebrations, the beach vacations, the Christmases, the matching sister outfits, the trips to the zoo, and so much more.

I will always be the mom who ugly cries as she packs away the old clothes. But I will also always try to be the mom who feels joy and gratitude as I do. ❤️

I hesitated sharing this because my daughter is four years old and had been in nightly pull-ups until last night and part of me felt nervous of judgement bc other moms weaned their babies faster, but then I realized that was stupid. Parenting is hard, but even harder when we compare. Celebrate the victories - yours and others!! And celebrate those cute little baby girl panties!! ❤️😍

  • 💛 It's never too early or too late to start leading by example. 💙

Dear Friends,
It's more often than not, that i don't actually feel like doing a workout.
However, 100% of the time that I do workout, afterwards I feel
better about my life,
more energized,
happier,
prouder,
more accomplished,
and more confident when I do!

It's even more rewarding when I am accompanied by my son who
watches my every move,
tries some of them,
has fun doing it with me,
plays around,
and works on his coordination and strength.
Sure, having to share equipment is a little more challenging, but it's so rewarding sharing this part of my life with him. He's been doing it with me since before he was born so why not keep it going?!? So friend, are you tired of doing this alone? Ready to try something new? I know you can do this! I've got the tools, the programs, the help, the support you need to make fitness fun and effective at the same time!
Next boot camp starts April 1st, but you don't have to wait until then to join me. Message me and let's get moving towards a healthier & happier version of you together. Not just for you, but for your kids, your spouse, your family, your friends. I know you would want the same for them!
XOXO,
Misty & Ronnie
