"Tandem bike gangster... well that’s what Hope is making me think every time I see this picture of her! She’s pretty relaxed on the bike these days bar question and story time. The afternoon is normally filled with a flurry of questions set off at rapid fire pace. ‘Is the sky solid?’, ‘Are those actual wild emus?’, ‘How do you know that is an electric fence?’, ‘How do you know that’s a happy beep?’, ‘Why did that caravan driver have a grumpy face?’. Usually, like with most 5 year olds one question leads onto another... and on a push bike circuit breakers can be hard to find. But if it’s not question time then it is story time. This week’s stories have focused on both Hope and Wilfy’s births, and adventures from Andrew and my life pre-kids. The cassowary. The shark. The students in the snow. Theses micro stories from our lives hold them captivated despite their story quality. They remember them. They ask again for them. And I realised the other day just how much our kids are getting to know us, because if I think about the stories I have from my parents lives or my grandparents lives they are few and far between- but the ones I have I remember. A year on the bikes, a year of stories, a year of getting to know. 📚" | Regranned from @swagfamilyhughes
We know there was supposed to be only one winner, but the submissions were so good that we had to go with two. Congrats to the winners of the #ContenderFlowerPower photo contest, and a hearty thank you to everyone who submitted a photo! The weather hasn’t been on our side, but we’re certainly excited for the upcoming season.
Coming back home for the year was without a doubt not a decision taken lightly. I do miss Belgium everyday and I’ll more than likely return. Though by the end of last season I ran out of money, lost my head and drifted out of everything for a time. But since I’ve been back I’ve had the chance to reconnect with old friends and make new ones all across the county and the country. This and some other amazing people helped me get back to where I should be and his given me the courage and belief to take all the risks again. Living at home is also a blessing the ability to take those risks is a privilege few can afford. Something I’ll always be grateful for. I couldn’t have imagined having this much on my plate in the best way a few months ago, opportunities keep cropping up and not just through chance but also hard work! Having a laugh and hanging out is one of the simple pleasures we all crave and can give you such a moral boost, the more I do it the happier I get! Anyway I wrote a piece on this and more that’s coming out on Monday so keeps ya eyes peeled! Also @kylejharper is as good with his phone as he is with his actual camera n all ! And ya know what helmets on the table futttiiin there are no rules. #NorfolkLoneRanger

@knog showed off their new silicone headlamp, the Bandicoot, that uses a built-in USB to charge its internal lithium polymer battery at Sea Otter. Yay for no more fumbling with cables.
But there’s more. Instead of an adjustable lamp head, Knog opted for a fixed, angled position with a grippy, adjustable silicone band to keep it secured to your noggin. It’s got a claimed max output of 100 lumens that will last about two hours at its highest output, plus there are eight pre-programmed light modes to utilize its quad LEDs for whatever task you are working on.
The Bandicoot can also be further programmed to your heart’s desire using its own dedicated desktop app. The IP-67 rated Bandicoot will be available in four colors starting in May for $35. #groupridechronicle
