🌟Vienna Marathon training Week 14 day 2🌟.
7km easy #strollerrun today. Well, as easy as running can be after 22 miles two days ago 😂. Avg pace 6:25/km Avg HR 135 bpm. .
I have officially kicked off my #RunHappy taper! The "Run Happy taper" is something I did on my last big goal race (Edinburgh half last May) and it worked really well for me. The idea is to bring back the joy. To run for fun, love and pure passion. No pressure, no expectations. Yes, I still have some planned harder sessions, but in my Run Happy taper I remove the stress and just have fun. If I can't hit my paces, no biggie 🤷, if I smash it, awesome 🙌 if I don't fancy doing it, then I will listen to my body and rest 😉. With less than three weeks to go there's no use in worrying about what I could've, should've, would've done differently. Time to just trust in the training and enjoy what's left. I found that this really helped reduce my pre-race anxiety and helped me toe the start line with excitement rather than fear. I ran a really strong, relaxed, and happy race in Edinburgh that ultimately led to a massive PB and hopefully I can tap into that same mindset for Vienna 😊💖💭. .
Long overdue sports massage today, boy did I need it. The weekends race gave a me a short, sharp reminder (a few days off running reminder) that you cannot keep banging the miles into the legs for months on end and not offer them any tlc in return 🙈
Thankfully, it has worked wonders and all is sorted, ready to knuckle back down and get to it on the home stretch 🙌🏼
A huge thank you to all the messages and comments I have received regarding my blog post today. I’m a little overwhelmed by the response.!There are lots of us in the same boat! I very nearly didn’t publish it, but as always you lot have made me really glad I did! Thank you (link is in bio) ❤️
It feels like I haven’t run in ages, and it has only been 3 days. I actually feel really good! I went to TRX yesterday, did a ton of burpees and squats, and my arms are more sore than my legs 🙈 this picture by Glenn Tachiyama was taken at the top of “chin scraper”, which is about 20 miles/32km into the race, after 5000 ft of climbing. I am smiling because I was having an awesome time. I felt much better than I did during and after my one and only marathon in 2017. Maybe trail running is hard, but less damaging to the body. Perhaps I trained well. Or perhaps my mind is now just as strong as my body. Whatever it is, I really enjoyed my first ultra, and I really think anyone who wants to do one, can. It was challenging, fun, and most of all I love the community. I feel like for once people get my “crazy”. In a world where 50km is just the beginning, I am just getting a taste of a world where limits don’t exist, where the mere completion or attempt is an achievement in itself, and where beginners like me are welcomed with open arms. I can’t thank the volunteers enough. They had to lug all the gear and food up the snow covered mountain so us runners would have well stocked aid stations, and more importantly good cheer. This is what made the race SO awesome. There were some times when I was running alone, but I knew that when I reached each aid station that there would be smiles and someone ready to fill my water bottles. (Finally I found the answer to my inability to drink out of those dinky paper cups! Do trail races where they don’t exist!!). The focus on sustainability is SO important to me so this just icing on the cake. The negatives? I wish I was still running, but that is it! On to the next 😊
2019 #42 / 🔥💣⚡ Un mois après être passé à 1h29 sur Semi, j'arrive à passer ce petit RP sur 10kms, tout ça dans une séance de 19kms au total 😍🏃
Grosse satisfaction à tout juste 1 mois du #NTMF_80kms . La préparation continue 💪
4 easy miles this ☀️morning after over a week off of pounding the pavement trying to heal this dang inflammation and well the weather☀️was brighter then my run today🥴! I’ll try and keep this short. -
Injury update🦶: Went to foot doctor last Friday and had an ultrasound(swipe➡️📸)on my Achilles tendon and found out that I have Achilles Tenosynovitis. Which means basically that the sheath that surrounds the tendon is inflamed. My actual Achilles’ tendon looked perfect in the picture “like spaghetti 🍝 noodles” she said☺️. -
So after taking a few more days off running and sticking to the bike🚲, strength training and taking some anti inflammatories to help knock the inflammation down I was hoping for a good run today back since it felt great the last two days. Oh and I also stopped taking meds about 36hrs before this run so I wasn’t running on a bandaid and I could actually feel if it was talking to me and well it did.
Side note... I also worked all day yesterday standing doing hair in flats so that maybe that didn’t help me today😬. -
Where does my marathon fall in all of this???? Well it’s in 6weeks and I’m not throwing in the towel yet but at this pint it won’t probably be the PR I was looking for.😏
You may realize that I love sports and particularly running since many years. That's why I select this watchface called Wf-SportLife #0545club#DisciplineEqualsFreedom

Day #70 Tempo + Travel ✈️! This morning was on a time constraint so I had to start the workout shortly after 5a. Thank goodness the weather was perfect, it made the difficult workout just a little better. Our company was headed to San Diego this morning and needed to catch an Uber at 7:15a, which meant finishing the run by 6:30ABCDE at the latest.
Knocked out the mileage and felt good along the way. But definitely read for some rest and aerobic miles.
1 mile warmup
3x3 miles at half marathon pace

I may not have the prettiest Insta page but I have BIG LOVES in my life being running and dōTERRA essential oils. 💃🏻 I just want everyone to find their big loves in life. You see, I have diamonds in my eyes, meaning big things! I want to constantly achieve the best for my family and I know those needs change constantly too, I’m aware. We all need goals right?💁🏼♀️ .
So back to dōTERRA, I have to say that after running (and before) I use this ALL the time! These two give that unreal feeling of a cool mint and muscle ease with very little needed. I use the cream on my legs and the oil on my neck and upper back. Both of these right now (worth $86) are free this month (FREE!!!🎉) when you purchase 200 pv in product, weather it be a starter kit, a wholesale account plus products.. you name it! FREE! .
Message me if you have questions.😘 You’re welcome. 😁
One time in high school I was almost attacked by a mama goose while running. Ever since that day I always get a little spooked if I get too close to a goose while running. Well luckily today ZigZag found himself a new job! Whenever he saw any geese on the trail he would sprint ahead to clear the trail. When all the geese were gone he would look back at me with a big proud smile on his face.
