Issn’t she magnificent?
To days 🏃🏻♀️ didn’t end up like planned. But looking at her I got tempted and just had to go 🤩
With heavy legs, and walking breaks I got there 😍 18km
Sweep for 419 elevation and amazing city and Oslo Fjord view ▶️

👉 Es sind Ferien! 👈
Also musste mein Sohn mich heute auf meinem Lauf begleiten!

Another 2-a-day. Hit the gym and met up with @concreterunners for my first Thursday Night Flight run at Lululemon Burlingame. They themed it by having an Easter egg hunt during the run which was hella fun. The heat however was not fun. I'm such a baby and it totally killed me (and my pace). .

#tbt My first post injury race last year. No expectations and no time goals (despite that all of my pictures are of me looking at my watch🤷🏻♀️ I was just antsy to get to see @josephsiefers).
This was my first real race 2 years ago and it was my first time running through Central Park which I then decided was a magical place despite “all the damn hills everywhere”.
SLC HALF-MARATHON RECAP PART 2:
Anything can happen on race day // There was rain & snow for days leading up to the race. Race day forecast was 55 high, 41 low, and partly cloudy. Right before heading out the door, I received a notification for approaching rain showers. There was snow on the ground, light rain falling, and the current temperature was 35 degrees. The cold and I don’t like each other so I wasn’t too excited about that. Luckily, the rain stopped and it wasn’t too cold. ~Mile 4, all my throw away clothes were already off. I did make a BIG rookie mistake of forgetting my Garmin watch 😱 I have a race-day check list, and on the top of my list was “charge watch.” Done done done done done. But I forgot to grab the charged watch. Just like a binky is a comfort item for babies, my Garmin watch is my comfort item as a runner. It’s my personal pacer. Moreover, I’m a stats girl so I like looking at my stats. Given the circumstances from the night before and the uncertainty of being able to race, I was grateful for a healthy body on race day morning, and tried to not stress about the watch. I used the Nike running app on my phone. I listened to the audio notifications of my time and pace at every mile marker and only peeked at the screen a few times throughout the course. On one hand, it was liberating not relying on and looking at my watch way too often like I normally do, and worrying about my pace relative to my heart rate, etc. On the other hand, it was stressful not having it on race day when I needed it most. On one hand or the other, I prefer to keep my watch on at all times. Part 3 coming soon @saltlakecitymarathon
