Bendito sejais, DEUS Todo-Poderoso, em todas as tuas criaturas! AMÉM.
São Francisco de Assis, protegei os animais!

AS CHAGAS OU OS CINCO SAGRADOS ESTIGMAS DE NOSSO SENHOR JESUS CRISTO, IMPRESSOS EM SÃO FRANCISCO DE ASSIS
I found this old water coloring in my sketch book last week. It resonated so much that I even ended up adding it to the “adult” template of “My Day in Beads” prayer guide in my new Peace Beads book.
My Day in Beads is a prayer guide that I wrote to accompany the prayer with beads. It’s inspired by the Ignatian Prayer of Examen and helps us to listen deeply for our souls and notice God’s loving presence in the ordinary moments of our lives.
Heightened God-awareness leads us to be quicker to recognize the voice of God and respond to his promptings. This is the gift of the prayer tool Peace Beads introduces to you.
It is my prayer for myself and Peace Beads that God would make us instruments of his peace. 🙏🏽

"What wonderful majesty! What stupendous condescension! O sublime humility! That the Lord of the whole universe, God and the Son of God, should humble Himself like this under the form of a little bread, for our salvation." -. #SaintFrancisofAssisi
How quickly life passes ... Soon we shall all be reunited in heaven. I love these words of the psalms very much: "A thousand years in the eyes of the Lord are like yesterday that has already passed." -St. Therese of Lisieux <3
“Church of Saint Francis of Assisi” (Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais) by: Frank Lawrence Kolbmann
A quick colored pencil sketch I did on April 8th from our time in Ouro Preto. It is the first of a series of sketches to come of the beautiful colonial town in the Serra do Espinhaço mountains of eastern Brazil.
It's been a week since my best friend died.
Of all the animals I've ever had, Zara was the most loving companion and a very happy dog.
Almost two years ago, she underwent surgery on the spine, then a grade III mastocytoma, a malignant skin cancer ... and in December, after a check-up, we discovered another rather aggressive cancer in the spleen. Last Sunday, Zara started with diarrhea, her buccal mucosa was very pale and, according to the advice of her oncologist, we took her to the hospital. As soon as we arrived we did some tests and found that she had internal bleeding in the abdomen and had some nodules in the liver, the suspicion is that these nodules were rupturing and this caused the bleeding, maybe she needed another surgery to cauterize these nodules, but before she had to stabilize, she might need a blood transfusion because she had very severe anemia. We left her in the hospital, we believed that would be another obstacle she would overcome. On Monday morning, around 10 o'clock, we received the call that she had died, the internal hemorrhage had worsened, and she had a cardiac arrest.
It was very sad that I had not been by your side at your departure, but God was generous with me for not having to decide for a euthanasia.
Our house since then is no longer the same, Zara always liked toys that made a lot of noise, was our protector, always on guard and how sweet. Every morning she surrounded our bed to lick the good morning, was always willing to play, she was very dog happy!
We've never been far away from her in those 11 years.
What struck me the most after Zara was gone was the silence.
I really understood the contradiction of “DEAFENING SILENCE”. “If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.” #zara#meuamor#minhavida#minhaluz#minhamenina#mysunshine#mybaby#mygirl#mylove#saintfrancisofassisi#freigalvao#gratidao#gratitude#eusempreestareiaoseulado#ninguemsoltaamãodeninguem#amorincondicional#mylife#incondicionallove#deafeningsilence#luto#sintomuitoasuafalta 🐾🖤🌞🌈💐
The sufferings of Saint Francis evokes a pure, benevolent and noble knowledge which transgressions were elegantly redirected not to separate the untoward passions of the soul but to create a realization, a mindfulness that will 'calibrate' the extent of what the soul can achieve when it tries to flow and expand on its own. Sufferings, on a catholic sense, were somewhat based on the understanding on the idea of the Holy Cross; when The Christ died, He was crucified, and to be able to achieve the nearness of a life imitating Christ Saviour, one has to accept the 'cross' symbolically while still maintaining an inner awareness about one's own life. This kind of dualism was Schopenhauer's understanding about Suffering......(Saint Francis of Assisi by Cigoli) .
