Some of the amazing light found in Iceland. The crowds were all packed at the famous spots so I went in search of someplace else and found this. Then Mother Nature gifted me this amazing light.
Later that night I was treated to the aurora.
An incredible day.

Northern Lights Dancing Above an Inuksuk or Inunnguaq? Or Both?
I learned yesterday that the main stone figure in this photo that I usually refer to as an inuksuk is actually an inunnguaq.
The difference? An inuksuk serves as a marker for trails, food caches, fishing and hunting spots, migrations routes. They are created in different formations. An inunnquag represents people and are shaped like human beings. They serve as a tribute, as a veneration for another person, as a marker for a meeting place or carry spiritual significance.
