Composite. Same image, but blended a couple of times. I really liked the original image, but there was too much negative space on the left hand side, and decided to fill that empty space. It framed Godrevy Lighthouse rather nicely. •
Fall is a great season for many reasons, one being the beautiful ground cover that we get all over the northeast. This year the poplar(?) leaves covered the ground even thicker than Philadelphia cream cheese covers my bagels. This time of year is great for raking leaves into a pile and jumping into them. I pretend these piles of leaves are piles of cream cheese. .
On Sunday I decided to take a drive across to Point Roadknight to shoot some seascape for the first time in 3 months. The sky was grey, dull and not looking to surprise but with a 0.8m tide combined with a 5.5m swell I felt that it would be worthy of a 1.5 hour drive to get some flow. Despite the bad weather, just as I was shooting the sun got below the horizon and created this gorgeous storm like magenta light. At this moment I was happy I stuck to my rule of “never leave early”
Did I get wet? Yes
Did my camera get wet? Yes
Was it worth it in the end? Yes
These are from one of the, if not THE, first seascapes I shot when I decided to pursue this adventure. I was so proud of them I had them printed on fairly large canvases. As I got “better” I started to think less of them until my friend @danniej99 bought both canvases. I was so happy!! It just goes to show you can’t know for sure what people will like. I’ve learned that lesson again and again.
This is more of a “for fun” post and a quick process but wanted to share. I have quite a few of these oh shit moments captured that never make it out to the world, enough to probably start a new IG account I’d imagine 🤔
Luckily this was literally the last shot of a glorious morning on the Oregon Coast with @grahamclarkphoto and @matt_theobald from @breakthrough.photography watching me inch closer, taking an over under on the chances of this exact thing from occurring 🤦♂️
All was well and no cameras were harmed in the making of this photo! Good thing I had a 145mm UV filter on 😜
Many, many more to come from this spectacular week with @outofchicago
Hazy morning rewarded with a tiny bit of Sun during the sunrise wasn't that bad at all…
The bad thing is…you will see tons of rubbish around the beach! I hope people just be more responsible to the environment…you'll only appreciate when you loses something…take good care of our mother earth!
Enjoy the sunrise shot guys!

There is time where you want to freeze the time, hope the the breeze just don't stop and the clock stop tickling…
Work does give me some hard time recently, I'm glad to have this small break and get some shots!
Not a spectacular shot, but it does make me feel…good about photography again!
