Whenever we perceive something, it is always filtered through our emotions, our desire, jealousy, pride, ignorance, and aggression. When we look at a person, we may see him or her through the filter of our passion, and will therefore see him or her as very desirable. We may look at another person through the lens of aggression, which will cause us to see him or her as very ugly and hideous. When perceiving others through our own insecurity, we make judgements, refer, and compare, and end up trying to defend or boost our pride, which all stems from ignorance. The list goes on and on. All the different perceptions we have arise from our very own minds and are coming through these emotions.
If you ever feel discouraged about how far you still have to go, look back and see how far you have already come! Just focus on taking that one next step ☝🏻

Are you in touch with your #emotions or do you suppress them?
Being numb to your emotions can lead to low energy, low moods and a sense of stagnation. To thrive in life we need to experience and express our emotions and let them move on, when necessary. .💨
My training in #acupuncture taught me that our emotions are *energy in motion.* That energy needs to FLOW!
When we deny our feelings, feed ourselves to go numb or distract ourselves from painful emotions with drugs, online TV, social media surfing, gambling, sex or shopping we are putting our health at risk. . 👁🗨
Those distractions don’t let the energy release and we don’t get the lessons they want to teach. .〰️
That unprocessed and unreleased energy can turn onwards and impact our immune system, leading to autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue and more. .⬇️
My patients who struggled with addiction and eating disorders inspired me to lead them through a process of self-discovery to help them safely face their emotions in a way that led to processing and healing them. .
This was especially helpful for those who grew up with codependency at home or with caregivers who didn’t “allow” the kids to express “negative” emotions. .
The Cornerstone Process will help lead you gently into #self -awareness and #self -compassion. .💕
By first allowing your awareness to identify the emotions, feelings and sensations you gain a bit of distance as you become the WITNESS of them. Taking the next step of naming the emotion has even been shown in research studies to help decrease anxiety and depression. ☝🏽 Be easy with yourself as you tune in. It may be new territory for you, so consider writing in a journal to express and explore what comes up for you. .🙏🏾

The seven layers of the aura, also known as the subtle bodies, hold different forms of information. These layers correspond to the chakras. The energies from the chakras produce the auras. Physical, emotional and spiritual health affect the size of the aura. These auric layers expand and contract depending on those factors. .
