Last month, I was supposed to have my very first styled shoot Filoli, which Elise and I had been brainstorming and working on for many months. Literally the day before, we ended up frantically calling all the vendors to reschedule because the forecast had changed to steady rain throughout the day. I’m so glad we ended up rescheduling, because yesterday couldn’t have been more perfect.
Can we talk about how incredible the ceremony backdrop is?! Kaylia totally killed it. We had a minor panic moment when the structure for the left side was bigger than we had expected and we didn’t have a way to balance it out on the right. Kaylia ended up constructing something out of chicken wire and she and Elise used water bottles(!) to keep it stable!! This is one of the many reasons professional florists and planners are worth every penny… they will always find a way to make it work, and you’ll never even have a chance to stress about it!

“The power of a glance has been so much abused in love stories, that it has come to be disbelieved in. Few people dare now to say that two beings have fallen in love because they have looked at each other. Yet it is in this way that love begins, and in this way only.” ⠀

I can’t help but smile each time I look back to this session 😊 It was such an honor to capture this sweet couple. 💛
My boi is on a flight to Nashville right now for a week ✈️ We are almost never apart and a few tears may have been shed sending him off. So if anyone wants to shoot this week your girl is mega free and needs to keep busy 😂🙌🏼 And please pray for safe travels and no more flight cancelations 🙏🏼

The rains this winter were definitely appreciated and worth the beautiful wildflowers we got to enjoy!! But I am a sunny so cal girl at heart and Beach days are my favorite kinda of days and lazy naps poolside or exploring the golden coast makes me happy!! Summer is my favorite time of year and I am excited it’s just around the corner. I swam some laps today and I soaked up every minute of sunshine!! What’s your favorite time of year?!

It’s a Tuesday & I figured I should share these two’s magical love story. When I asked them how they met & they told me the story, it came to life like a Nicholas Sparks book with a little SF twist to it.
Guillermo is a musician & often plays at little places in Union Square in the city. A few years back a woman walked into where he was playing and they couldn’t help but to be like magnets to each other and after he played, he approached her and told her how beautiful she was and they talked the whole night. At the end of the night they went their separate ways and never spoke again. A few years later, Guillermo was playing in Union Square again & saw the most beautiful girl come into the place he was playing at. He approached her and they started talking and she shared that she was Turkish & Guillermo thought to himself how beautiful the last Turkish girl he met was & then deeper into the conversation they got, they realized that she WAS the Turkish girl he met a few years back & that they had by destiny been magnets to each other once again. & ever since that “second” first time meeting, Hande & Guillermo have fallen in love and gotten married in San Francisco they very city they first laid eyes on each other & where their love story began. &&& they will live happily ever after!
I’m a sucker for good love stories, especially one like these two have. & if you are too, well, you’re welcome. Lol 😂💛

When the Bride and Groom walked over to her grandma I knew I had to get it. So I made my way around people and ended up at their table, kicking out a little cousin and claiming his seat 2 feet away.
Sierra and Casey during their tearful, laughter filled vows ✨ These two got married on a blue bird day in March, following a “bomb cyclone” blizzard. It was such a beautiful day filled with the best people. So happy I got to work with these two! 🌼

back in sunny cali after a few days up the massachusetts coast. it was gorgeously picturesque--all the fog and historical buildings made everything feel like a watercolor painting!
