  • Harriet (doubly aptly named seemingly, she was named orginally for her forehead lightning bolt) has transformed into looking like a grumpy "get off my lawn" bear. 😂❤🐻🐑

  • This is what the line-up for Santa’s lap looks like here. Laird, Mary, Lola, Lilac & Ruva are always good ewes and wethers. And so are the other 54 sheep, 8 alpacas, 8 goats, 3 mini donkeys, 1 pony, 1 horse, 1 hog, 4 pups, 8 kitties, and 50-odd poultry all also on their best behavior. Mostly. What do they all want, more than anything? It’s not crackers or carrots, it’s not oats or apples....nope, it’s not snacks at all. These critters want snuggles! Top of their lists! They pick hugs over drugs every time. Don’t wait til Christmas to give someone a hug. Every day is perfect for showing love.

  • FESTIVE RAFFLE!
If you couldn’t come along to any of our recent woolly events and would still like to support us in the run up to Christmas, here’s a chance to win one of 3 super prizes in our last minute Festive Raffle! The first prize is a large sheepy project bag from the very generous @busy pottering, along with 2 balls of Gilbert yarn, 1 skein of Dennis yarn, a copy of the lovely Christmas Lights poetry pamphlet from @candlestickpress (perfect for reading by the fire or under the Christmas tree!) and one of our 2020 Manor Farm Charitable Trust calendars. Second prize is a smaller sheepy project bag from @busypottering complete with sheep zipper and stitch marker, a ball of Gilbert and a skein of Dennis, a 2020 calendar and copy of Christmas Lights. Third prize is another of those brilliant small sheepy project bags along with a skein of Dennis, a calendar and also a copy of Christmas Lights. Gilbert and Dennis have both been in our special care areas for the past couple of months with stiff hips, infected feet and a granuloma between them, so they send their love to you and are grateful for any donations to their care made in this way ❤️🐑 To enter, simply make a donation of £2 via the PayPal Donations section on the Fundraising page of our charity website and you’ll be automatically entered into the prize draw. £2 per ticket or 3 tickets for £5! Please reference RAFFLE when making your donation.
www.manorfarmcharitabletrust.org
If there’s any difficulty with overseas donations in linking through our website, you can donate directly via PayPal to info@manorfarmcharitabletrust.org
We’ll print out every donation confirmation slip and enter them all into the draw which will take place at 12 noon GMT UK out on the field with the sheep on Wednesday 18th December 2019 which we’ll live video link. Hopefully little Ivy will do the business again for us and draw the tickets!

Thank you! Last donations for the raffle 12 midnight GMT Tuesday 17th December 2019.

  • 2018 stock show one year ago😢. I miss showing because I like getting a wild lamb then taming her down it’s a lot of fun for me because I like doing that sort of stuff. I don’t like everything coming easy. That year the breeder we got our sheep from said I got the crazy one and the most wild but she was the most sweetest easy to tame lamb I’ve ever gotten. She would actually walk up to me in the pin usually I have to chase them and catch them. Daisy was my absolute favourite show lamb ever she was so sweet and would do anything for me. I love her so much and was destroyed when we had to give her back. Luckily we have breeding sheep so they just go to a pasture and have lambs instead of the market. But yeah I miss showing but definitely do not miss all the people stuff we had to do I was in it to have a sheep☺️❤️🐑 @heyitsbaye took the pictures. #showing #sheep #lambs #dorperlambs #dorpersheep

  • I was contemplating my next post this morning when my precious 12 year old daughter approached with excitement to present me with the product of her morning time with her heavenly Father. As my new life application bible study series, The Key of David, is ultimately all about the Shepherd of Israel and His tender loving care over every single one of His sheep, it was obvious what my next post was supposed to be. 😊 Wonderful mommy moment seeing the fruit of my seed planting! 💖✨🐑 www.keyofdavidlove.com

  • David was a good shepherd. He was willing to risk his own life to save his father's sheep from a roaring lion and a bear that were seeking to devour them. Take a literary journey with me through the scriptural narratives of King David's life, which are brimming over with rich prophetic foreshadows of the Messiah in every chapter!
