  • Wczoraj wychodząc ze stajni miałam taką smutną refleksję. 😡 Każdy z nas ma inne możliwości. Mamy prawo do opieki nad naszymi końmi według własnego uznania. •

Yesterday I was leaving the stable when a really sad reflection came to me. 😡 Each of us has different possibilities. We have the right to care for our horses at our sole discretion.🤦🏼‍♀️I don’t , but the damn thing strikes me when I leave the stable in the evening and see a horse after a hard workout on a given day with glued sweaty hair, hooves covered in sand and poop, in a wet Eskadron blanket from the new collection. 💅 Where is the sense here? "I come to the stable occasionally in the ride and disappear style," but I blame that stupid horse for not wining the competition!? "Where is the conscience? No horse comes to us with the text "hey girl you can you train me? Because I love working my ass off !" The horse has no influence on that he must work one way or the other. Therefore, let’s give him this minimum respect. Let us give him a good rest. 🙌 Training without caring for the comfort of the horse should not take place at all. At the end of the day, the color does not really improve the comfort of life. Any thoughts? •

  • Here’s a story to warm your heart- Check out the transformation of @redbucketrescue success story, Roulette! (Reposted from Red Bucket Equine Rescue)
 Update- Roulette

In keeping with our passion of serving the desperate, Red Bucket led a rescue effort that impacted 31 feral pregnant mares, saving them from the anguish and brutality of slaughter. Consistent with our practice of “saving one more”, we were able to save a terrified baby who had been stripped from her mother's side before the mare shipped to slaughter. Roulette arrived at Red Bucket petrified, filthy, and exhausted. Dried mud and manure caked her matted coat and she shrank from our touch, trembling uncontrollably. Roulette was enrolled in Red Bucket “Charm Farm” and began the slow process of learning that people are kind and the world is safe. Roulette, a pleaser by nature, completed her under-saddle training thanks to the generosity of a wonderful donor who sponsored her training. Roulette emerged a confident, beautiful, and willing partner. No longer motherless, Roulette has been proudly adopted by Karen Tilley, and now has a forever family...and best friend of her own! Congratulations Karen and Roulette!
For information about sponsoring one of our four-year-old's under-saddle training and linking arms with us in providing a safe future like the one Roulette received, please contact Susan at Susan@redbucketrescue.org. We are profoundly grateful for all those who help us help the horses!

  • Guten Abend ☻

  • I tried the new bit on Caress today; an Acavallo bit. It’s supposed to be good for sensitive horses. I struggle a lot with Caress, so why not? Maybe it’s worth it?! Or is it not?
Well, first of all, I found it difficult to adjust and get it right fitted with the Micklem bridle. Had to make the bit-straps extremely long and lower the chin straps a bit too. Not interested in trying with another bridle as the Queen loves her Micklem bridle!
Second, I was worried the bit I bought in 13,5cm would be too big. It is not. Just barely wide enough! As the sides of the bit kinda build a “wall” on each side of the horse’s mouth, the bit lays very still. I think Caress liked that. She’s usually very unsteady with her head an keeps throwing it around (result=me full of spit). She didn’t do that today. Much more steady with her head! BIG PLUS for that!! But I didn’t get her supple enough, I think. Only through to about 70% of normal or so... probably it comes from me usually playing with the bit to get her head down, that didn’t work now as the bit lay so still!
The minus....;
THE BREAKS DIDN’T WORK 🙈😬🆘🛑
But all in all; I will keep trying this bit some more. If the Queen likes it, she will eventually get more supple and start relaxing so she could listen to my breaks...

  • Sorry for the lack of posts, I have been visiting family in Russia! I was missing horse riding a lot, so I found a local horse riding school and went for a little tour and lesson!
It was very nice, it was actually a riding university/academy and very elite! All the horses were lovely, my first time seeing an Akhal Teke in real life, and there was a little Arabian gray in one of the videos behind me! It was a lovely visit and all the trainers were amazing and kind.
And yes, I know I’m wearing trainers and chaps, I didn’t think I would be riding so I didn’t bring my boots! Thankfully they had a helmet I could borrow!
I had never met the trainer before, so we just started with tacking the lovely mare I was riding up and some walking round. We found that at my School the turns were different, one handed and here they used both. We then did some Trotting, I thought I was doing alright, though it was very hard in my trainers, you can see my foot slipping through the stirrups a lot in the video, but I tried my best to keep my heels down and my legs under my body, but it was quite the challenge!
We then moved onto canter, I really tried to move my body with the horses movements and not bounce too much, but this horse Гуля aka Gulya was a very soft ride!
Also, I felt like my arms were very stretched out, is this because I’m sitting too far back in the saddle? Please leave tips and constructive criticism below! 💗🐎 #newrider #ridinglesson #equestrian #horse #equine #mylove #trot #canter #sso #flatwork #showjump #showjumping #lovehorses #neigh #instahorse #instapony #stables #horsecrazy #cob #horseofinsta #ponyofinsta #equestrianofinsta #blue #monarch #inlove
