  • We all see things differently.
 Sometimes we try to fit something we can't relate to or don't have enough knowledge of into differently-shaped boxes, as a result, squeezing the thing so much it loses its shape.  Words are very powerful but at the same time I find we are so used to passing messages via verbal communication that some words lose their meaning, trigger stereotypical associations that may not be true or evoke certain feelings/memories that have nothing to do with the context. Seeing how common labelling is and how we tend to give definitions to complex, unpredictable and irregular phenomena, I sometimes feel like for verbal communication both parties have to listen with triple attention.  But nothing catches attention as much as an unusual approach!  I noticed I often draw things when explaining abstract phenomena or even feelings, which actually helps me, too, to understand them better. 
Hugs are probably my favourite way to communicate a message of love and care, that I am convinced can't be translated to words, not even gifs ha! 
I am constantly inspired by the different ways we communicate with each other and with ourselves (like, what food we choose to consume, for example!) Interestingly, I have found that talking about the same problem in different languages offers a wider range of solutions (not surprisingly, but still a fascinating thing!) These were my random Friday thoughts :-)

  • Having a lazy morning, curled up under my weighted blanket in Johns hoody catching up on Deadwater Fell. Then cleaning and settling down to plan my blog and social media for the week. 
Having a day job, my blog and just managing daily life can be a lot so I think it’s important to sometimes have these lazy mornings to recharge. I also have decided 2020 will be there year where I am more organised. Plan my blog and social more so I’m not rushing to write a blog post just to get something out there. So far so good!

  • How do you track your results? 
Monitoring & tracking is a huge part of our coaching process with clients. If we don’t track then how do we know that a client is making progress? How do we identify areas that need improved? How can we make changes where needed to maximise results? 
We know most of our clients inside out! Our coaching process is thorough. From our customised APP, online check in form & weekly voice note check in responses to each client we can ensure that our service is rock solid & our clients’ results are above standard! 
We monitor lifestyle factors such as sleep & stress. We look at digestion. We take into account how a client is feeling & how they look through progress photos. 
DO NOT just base your progress on scale weight! There is a hell of a lot more to it than that number that flashes before you on the scales!
