UPDATE ON CHAO. WE SAVED CHAO CHAO’s LEG!🙏🏼
Chao initially was brought to a vet who suggested amputation. We went to get 2nd opinion because we didn’t want Chao to lose his leg so we had Chao sent to Dr. Aris, the one who did Panda’s leg. We try to reach out to other shelters in Manila but we understand everyone’s load as well. We share the same sentiments but we just can’t turn a blind eye so we are grateful for a group of people in Manila who help us organize the rescues and help raise funds as well. One of the volunteers, Mina, was even witnessing her house burning down while coordinating with everyone but that did not stop her from doing what she can to help.
We were able to raise less than 10,000 pesos but we believe recovery is better when dog is with the owner and we wanted to make room for other dogs who need vet help in that clinic. Chao’s total bill is 38,600 and Pawssion has settled the bill with the vet using our own personal funds. So 2 days ago, Chao completed the surgery. God, again and again, thank you for your provision. But we hope you can continue to support our mission and advocacy so we can continue to help more dogs in need.
Whoever wants to donate in cash can message us and inform us the purpose of donation and let us know if you wish to be acknowledged.
Chao is now back to it’s owner Badette and recovering.
