It’s a bit strange getting into murky water to swim with the worlds largest fish. The clarity was so bad we couldn’t see them until they were within arms reach and all of a sudden there’s a giant coming towards you. This photo is on the widest setting (I could have touched it’s fin) in a patch of slightly more clear water. Conditions are usually not perfect in the ocean which makes underwater photography challenging, but it is a very rewarding place to work. To be able to see, document, and interact with animals, and to share the images with others makes it all worth it

Hoy hemos dedicado toda la inmersión a sacar cabos y restos de trasmallos del fondo. En total varias decenas de metros de desechos que dejan los pescadores y que con el oleaje se desplazan por el fondo y arrasan con todo lo que pillan.
Con la ayuda de unas tijeras también hemos liberado a esponjas y otros organismos del fondo de un enredo monumental provocado por hilo de pesca grueso, utilizado por los pescadores deportivos que van con embarcación.
Ha sido solo una gotita más en pro de evitar la destrucción del fondo del mar, pero gotita a gotita se crea un océano.
