Home is where the New York style pizza I’ve been craving for two months is! One of the best parts of traveling is coming home because you’ve realized how much you missed it 🗽🚕🍕 Happy to be back and excited to get back to work before the next adventure!

never stop fighting for the life you want 🌟
if you're anything like me, you REALLY struggle to find the motivation to reach your goals sometimes (i'm more a instant-results kinda girl, lol). and often just give up bc you feel like you aren't making any progress.
but i think we all forget sometimes that huge life changes are rarely huge life changes. they're usually dozens & dozens of small changes that look huge in retrospect. and the fact is, the worse your life & habits are, the easier they are to improve 😂
i actually NEVER planned or wanted this to be my life. gallivanting around the world solo was... not something i foresaw for myself, lol. i aimed SO LOW. i didn't need an awesome life, i just wanted my shitty one to suck even slightly less. i took the tiniest baby steps and literally crawled my way up from rock bottom. and totally by accident, all those little steps added up to this.
SO. if (like me 😑) you've been feeling overwhelmed this week -- don't give up, regroup!! start mapping out your baby steps. put aside $10 for that trip today, apply to one job, clean your room for 10 mins, have a conversation you've been putting off, or just take out the trash- whatever you need to do to get above 0 for the day, do it. you'll look back in the end and see that all those days combined changed your life 🌟
Take me back to what was one of the best weeks of my life. Everyone raves about them, and for good reason; the Galápagos Islands are a protected paradise ⍣
Sundowners, secluded spots, labyrinths, pirate caves, hilarious company, bonfires, cocktails, lobster and more wildlife than you could ever imagine. There’s even an amazing rehabilitation centre that has reintroduced 5,423 tortoises back onto the islands ⍣
From swimming with a family of sea lions, to almost getting hit in the face by a sea turtle this place did anything but disappoint 🦞🐙 ⍣
Go out there and travel, my friends. Learn about the world, cultures different than your own, how others live. Introspect. Embrace the differences and resonate with the similarities. How wonderful it is to gain knowledge and understanding. And let's not forget...
In July of 2013, I arrived to NYC with no job or idea what I was going to do with my life. From day one, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by a support group of friends who’ve empowered me to chase my dreams and inspired me to be the best person I can be. It’s been a wild ride with beautiful highs and pretty painful lows, but I wouldn’t change a second of it. .
Eventually, everything found it’s place - I gained direction in my life, landed the job of my dreams, and made incredible friendships that have inspired some pretty unforgettable experiences. In short, I lived my wildest daydreams. ✨🦄
New York, I love you but the time has come to conquer new horizons. .
Over the next few months, I’m embarking on an adventure to backpack through SE Asia and open myself up to the world like never before. ✈️
So many mixed feelings leaving this incredible place I’ve called home and saying goodbye (for now) to the people who’ve made it such a special place. It's because of you all that I am who am I, and I'll take you with me everywhere I go. .
In an effort to keep the social medias to a mindful minimum, I’ll be doing a bi-weekly/monthly/whenever-ly newsletter to share updates + thoughtful thoughts from my adventures. .
✨💌 Link in my bio. 💌✨
Filled with love, gratitude, excitement, fear, sadness, joy, and every feeling imaginable - and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 💖
Day 135: sometimes living as a full time traveler, looks like this. I have been in bed all day. A coveted bottom bed in a ten bed dormitory. I consider myself lucky. Though someone has smelly clothes in this room (and luckily I know it’s not me because I just had everything washed, but maybe at another time it could be), I am next to a window and I just opened it and it’s better. I haven’t been sleeping deep and today I finally knocked out for a 4 hour nap. I had vivid dreams for the first time in weeks, which are generally normal for me, so it felt good to be visited by unprocessed images and new information. I felt my energy in my dream and woke up feeling reminded to be mindful of what energy I exert. That it’s within my control. I also woke up frustrated that several people were conversing loudly when clearly I’m sleeping but it’s the middle of the day and this is a shared space so what can I really expect. Anyway I am human and frustration is normal, but I am taking responsibility for it because I’m the one who suffers. So. All in all,
I am happy. I have clean clothes. Fresh fruit. I am staying somewhere new tomorrow. I don’t consider myself wrong for a second for sleeping all day, and that alone is a triumph. I don’t have energy for negative thinking. I am coming alive. //
Summer is coming to an end here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 .
From the Dec 25th right through till now we have had the most amazing beautiful sunny days.
This has been great for those soaking up the sun and holiday makers alike, but the poor old farms are hanging out for rain!
Then we will be moaning how wet it is lol.
“Make hay while the sun shines” as they say and make the most of these lazy autumn days.
HAPPY NOWRUZ to all my iranian friends! May the new year bring you lots of happiness, love and good moments 🥳🍀❤️ Who else is celebrating the new year today?
This picture was last year in the beginning of my 3 months in Iran. My lovely friend @nnahalnadjahii took me to the beautiful tochal mountain in Tehran. Wish us luck that we can meet soooon in beautiful Switzerland 🙏🏼
Yesterday I fell asleep in India, and woke up in Malaysia. I had 15 hours to explore Kuala Lumpur before moving once again, this time to wake up in Bali. I was very surprised by KL. I'm not a huge fan of big cities but I really felt welcome by every single person I met. Are the Malaysians the nicest people or what? This city has it all. The big commercial areas mixed with the traditional crafts, the amazing public transportation system and an overall sense of just being safe and comfortable everywhere. In 15 hours I explored the #batucaves , the #centralmarket , the famous #twintowers and their own #chinatown whose cultural influence is evident all over the city. And of course I had a taste of their awesome street food. Not bad hum?! What a good surprise! Even if I was carrying my heavy backpack the all time, the temperature was crazy hot and I had only slept for like 3 hours during the Kochi-Kuala Lumpur flight, none of that mattered. Really, the city has such a light and friendly vibe, that I couldn't help myself to be happy (and sweaty 😂) every step of the way! 100% will be back! #kualalumpur#malaysia
OH and of course, I met my good childhood friend: #Doraemon ! ✌️

#elefant#kilroy#volunteer#solofemaletravel#banelephantrides

I really needed warmer weather and sun ☀️ I’m kind of addicted to it I guess (none of my iranian friends can understand that I think 😅). Fortunately I found it in Malaga, Spain 🙌🏼

Completely fell in “Designing Your Life” by two Silicon Valley design investors and wholeheartedly recommend you too! I’m such a reflection junky, and it's so crucial for it to have a healthy framework not to stuck with your raw insights. What a sweet feeling to see your Nothern Star!
I think people underestimate the beauty that they can find right here in the United States. The Hoover dam is easily one of the coolest things that I have ever seen. I took this picture in the middle of a 22 days road trip across the west coast of America. Despite being over 100 degrees that day it was worth the 3 hour tour I got off Groupon. #travelblogger

On this trip, I also went to @congareenps with my @couchsurfing host’s roommate. I enjoyed the trip as it was nice to get out in nature and hike some trails but I have to say, it was the least impressive national park I’ve been to but that may be because it was completely flooded and only two tiny trails were open, the rest underwater. I would have liked to canoe there but it was declared too dangerous at the time!
Nice bedroom views, nice hikes, extreeeemly nice company.. very nice, very nice

The first time I celebrated Holi as an adult was during my first visit to the city of Benaras without my parents. A visit to Varanasi had always been a family event for me, and despite the myriad weeks I had spent there in my younger years, I had never truly experienced the city itself.
Until this trip.
On this particular trip, I tried bhang for the first time in my grandmother's home. I explored the riverside ghats with my cousin. I took a pilgrimage trip to Sarnath with my aunties.
On this sunny afternoon, I was drenched in colour. There was green pigment in my ears and nose for days, my hair was pink for weeks afterwards. And the joy of that day remains imprinted in my mind indefinitely.
The Sunsets, the Mojitos, the Beach, the Ocean and reuniting with good old friends in South Goa. What a nice, relaxing, batery recharging week 🌊

Group pictures, selfies... You name it! I guess taking photos with the tourists or with the temples it's all the same 😂 I feel like I'm a circus attraction sometimes! Ahah 🎪 But so far I've been lucky.. People are curious but always super nice, wanting to know more about me, my country and my travel plans!!
Breathtaking view from the top of the happiness hills 🌱

Arunachala, Shiva, Girivalam e a Lua Cheia:

I was here today. And I am here now. I don't care about tomorrow - these are the moments that make a normal life, a happy life!
