  • One of my most frequently asked questions is “what’s is like travelling solo?…as a women” •

I take a lot of solo trips, my biggest longest trip to date was a solo trip! I love having the independence to move on my own time, explore whatever I want and just be selfish really. •

A lot of the time I actually never end up staying alone! I met Clè on my first month of travelling solo in Sri Lanka! I have made so many connections because I was completely alone and took a leap of faith! And it has resulted in amazing friendships! •

Travelling solo made me open to these friendships, these people, it made me open to new experiences which have changed me and my perspective on a lot of things! But the biggest thing it has taught me Is to not allow fear to control my decisions. After all, a life in fear isn’t really living is it? •

A big shout out to some of the amazing people I meet on those travels! @alivelikethewind @hola @abnormal_fitness @arnoldfrancis_ @jubril8 @tatianamae @nylarobiinson @daialarie @letmehearyousingh @bellaworldwide @vagabond.jazz @cedinthecity 😇🙏🏽 @isaiah.mcneill @manar.tantawi @mobetta215 @hazelleitao @gavindantez @nathwild @ahmay_ahmoo @lifeofart literally so many people I can’t even tag you all 💖💖

  • Didn't plan a single outfit for this trip to Jodhpur 😅 and can I just confess that it was sheer bliss? 😁
Couldn't help but fall absolutely in love with this blue scarf in the blue city 💙 Much like I fell for the purple clutcher years ago 🙈 This trivia about everyday life which makes some of the most simple things so special, which makes us love some without any reason... Well, this trivia, I am a woman of such trivia.

  • I have settled in my own apartment now, after 1,5 crazy years of traveling around the globe - solo. 💫
.
Yeah, there have been times when I felt anxious, times when I felt lonely or doubted my decision to leave my home country to pursue a reality wilder than my wildest dreams.
But here we are now. And it feels so right. 💭
.
Sometimes, taking a leap into the unknown is the single best thing to do.
Sometimes, all you gotta do is to jump when you can’t see the net that’s gonna catch you. 🧚🏼‍♂️
.
Taking a leap of faith is scary, but it‘s also rewarding, it‘s exciting, it makes you step outside of your comfort zone and grow in so many beautiful ways. The universe has your back, always.
But girl, you gotta trust yourself first.
Realize that you are the one in the driver‘s seat. ⚡️
.
You are 111 % responsible for the outcomes in your life. Envision them. Act accordingly. Breathe life into them. 🌬 #selfempowerment

  • The Perilous Road to India

During my final bus journey in Myanmar I started to develop a sick feeling alongside an uncomfortableness in my back.

Minutes later I knew that the inevitable had happened: food poisoning. Shit (literally). And there was still 4 hours left of the journey.

That uncomfortableness in my back had quickly morphed into an excruciating sharp pain, and it didn’t help that the seat in front of me had reclined all the way back leaving me no room to find a comfortable position.

For hours I sat in sheer agony as I focussed all my thoughts on one thing: do not puke. But as anyone who’s ever been in a vehicle in Asia knows, it’s always a rough and bumpy ride.

After 3 and a half hours I couldn’t sustain the mental and physical torture and gave in to vomiting ferociously into a plastic bag.

When I reached Yangon the trouble was far from over. Dazed, confused and barely able to walk, I stumbled my way through a crowd of taxi drivers that would “kindly” handle my backpack and often wouldn’t take no for an answer until told firmly.

I quickly googled “hotels near airport” and booked myself a reputable cab to the first option I saw with no idea if there was even a room available. I just needed to find safety.

The cab ride was the same as the bus. Sharp turns and bumpy roads brought on another spell of nausea... but this time I had no plastic bags. The driver told me if I was going to be sick I should get out and walk. I reassured him I’ll be okay. I lied.

For 30 gruelling minutes I used every ounce of willpower to keep myself composed. As soon as the taxi arrived at the hotel, I once again exploded with vomit right onto the street. As soon as I entered the hotel my body had nothing else to give and I just collapsed.

I woke up a few minutes later surrounded by hotel staff, checked myself into a room, slept for 5 hours and headed for the airport for a flight to India... because I may be sick AF, but I’m still Indian and there’s no way in hell I’m letting a £55 plane ticket go to waste!

Anyways, I’m here now. I’m back in action. Let the adventure continue.

My top 5 photos of 2019 countdown continued!

Photo 2: Faraway Fantasy

Traveling across China for a month was my biggest personal project of the year. In 2017, sitting at my desk at my day job, I stumbled onto a Chinese tourism website for the province of Guizhou that looked like it was made in 1995, with tiny pixelated thumbnail images of some of the most insane landscapes I had never seen before. Right there and then, I knew I needed to find a way there someday.
Fast forward to this August and, although it was my biggest travel challenge yet to navigate China, I was finally there and getting to take the photos I’d had in my head for so long. When we arrived at this Bavarian-looking castle (discovered via a deep Pinterest search session), I had only ever seen photos from the front, so I was surprised to discover these insane mountains were behind it too.

We were exploring around the castle when I realized the sun was dipping beneath the peaks, so I literally sprinted to a spot I could launch the drone from before all the light was gone. When I saw these light rays on my screen, I almost cried from relief that all the travel difficulties and money I’d thrown into this trip were paying off. An image several years in the making.

Puntavo la Thailandia da anni e dicevo “appena posso, ci vado” ma @simone_rasseghini mi ha fatto il regalo più bello della vita, trascorrendo 12 giorni da favola 😍 .
.
Siamo partiti verso metà 𝑨𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒆, primo step del nostro viaggio: Bangkok. Abbiamo soggiornato 𝒕𝒓𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊 in un hotel vicino al tempio Hindu Mariamman zona secondo me tattica, vicino a tante attrazioni, ristoranti, vita notturna e ATM (essenziali😂). .
.

Invicta, Latin for “invincible”, was originally founded in Switzerland by Raphael Picard in 1837 and has been crafting for more than a century high-quality Swiss Made timepieces, creating a culture of affordable luxury through a perfect mixture of design, quality and reasonable price

Invicta combines traditional Swiss craftsmanship with cutting-edge 21st-century design. Famed for its bold ‘big dial’ designs, Invicta has over 1000 watch styles for men and women, from formal to high fashion. It has become hugely popular in the United States, also among celebrities and professional athletes including Jason Taylor, who teamed up with the brand to create his own line of watches, Jason Taylor for Invicta. The brand’s headquarters are now located in Hollywood, Florida where Eyal Lalo is its active President and CEO, but it’s internationally distributed in over 42 countries including Taiwan.

Every Invicta watch is meticulously constructed with the finest materials and is subject to rigorous quality control and over 300 individual tests. It is one of the few companies certified to use Swiss movement Certification. With over 20 dynamic collections and from five to six new styles launched quarterly, the brand works with the fashion agenda to create cutting-edge designs, making it a natural choice for the fashion-forward and seasonally minded.
