📍Burg Eltz, Alemania 🇩🇪
¿No creéis? ☺️

Happy National Park week! Obviously, this is a really exciting week for me. If you’re new around here, I’ve visited 47 US National Parks and 5 in Canada — many of them multiple times — all on my own and just in the past 4 years. So, I have a lot to say 🤗
I’ll be sharing some of my favorite parks, photos, tips, and memories this week. Starting here 👆🏽 at my favorite park. The one I always go back to. The one I am always in awe of.
When I first posted this photo someone commented (a friend in real life actually) that they didn’t appreciate my “advertisement of the parks” and didn’t want to see the places they love through my lens. At that point I was just annoyed, but now — while I’m still annoyed — I get the feeling.
The feeling of being so deeply connected to a place that you want to keep it to yourself. Control the environment. Reactions to it. Because it feels like a part of you.
It’s the feeling of giving someone a gift. I want you to like this so much I almost don’t even want to see you open it. Because what if. What if the thing that means so much to me doesn’t to you? What if you express it differently?
But, the greatest gift of nature and of public lands is that they’re for us all. It’s not for me to give. It’s something inside, and it’s already in us all. #findyourpark
Ronda is definitely one of the highlights in Andalucia. Especially the Puente Nuevo, a beautiful old stone bridge built in 1793. It took 42 years to finish the construction. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

hands down, the best hot spring I’ve ever been to! Even with rainfall, it was the hottest spring I’ve ever been in, not to mention no one in sight! 10/10 #latergram

Day 40 ~ 34km ~ 1706km
A painful day with a happy ending.
I started on the world heritage walk onto the Gibraltar Range national park and left the track after like 8km.
The next couple km’s went down on a ridge into the valley and then i followed the dry river bed for like 2 hours. For me it’s still hard to believe that so many creeks and rivers are dry, somethings which is totally unnormal for me. But anyway, you gotta deal with. Water is life, either from a paddle or a fresh spring. Also one of the reasons why i have to go some days such long distances, it’s just the lack of water.
However, i went in the valley and my shin started to hurt very bad. I’ve been hiking with pain killers for a couple days and actually have no idea what’s wrong. I kept going and ignored the pain. After a couple km’s i met a 2 guys on their motorbikes and got invited to their camp down the river. What was supposed to be one beer ended up in a prefect lamb roast and many many beers. I was so lucky that i met those folks and could hang out with.
Also i was really looking forward to visit my friend @dustybootsmusic the next day and take a couple days off at the coast. Check out his new single “these roads”, if you haven’t yet. Sweet as!
Well, the most important is now to see where my shin is taking me. It’s not looking good and might have to see a doctor. Time will tell, but i hope a couple days of rest will heal it.
Happy easter anyway and enjoy your time with the loved ones. #healingtime

Solo overnight at Raymond's Gulch. Waking at 5 am to see North America's first sunrise in absolute darkness, a MUST.

I think it was supposed to symbolize the stupidity and emptiness of (western) symbols of wealth but still it wasn't a pleasant sight... #chiangrai #thailand
