For day-to-day shooting, I don't often use my telephoto lens. I often find that personally for scenes local to me on Vancouver Island, it's difficult to find a meaningful composition with my 70-200. But whenever I'm out in the mountains, it seems like my telephoto lens is surprisingly on my camera more often than my wide-angle is. It's fascinating to me how there are so many interesting scenes and compositions that can be picked out of a landscape with a tighter focal length. The mountains are the perfect place for that as a telephoto lens really allows you to show the immensity of these rock faces. I recommend for anyone planning a trip to a fairly mountainous region; make sure to pack a telephoto!

Feeling a little uninspired lately, still it’s always a nice feeling to revisit the style of pictures that got me going from Day 1 📸 #ChasingStraightFacades of iconic shophouses.
A quick scroll by and you might miss what’s special about this shot! What do you think it is?

This memorial along the Danube river in Budapest, Hungary, displays 60 random pairs of shoes from men, women, children & infant as a grim reminder of a dark moment in history. Between 1944-1945; over 10,000 Jewish citizens were executed while standing naked in front of this river by the Nazi-inspired group called the Arrow Cross. It's very sad to think that mankind can do such things to one another and really important that we remind ourselves of such atrocities, hopefully to avoid them in the future.
Spent our last shooting day of the year with these two love birds and it was perfect. We started in the forest and oohed and awed, staring at all the hanging moss, giant ferns, and burnt orange maple leaves 🍁 And then we spent a solid 5 minutes with Erin and Zane in a dip kiss, me tossing up leaves in the air, and Brandon rapid firing trying to get this shot 😂 Took a few tries and a lot of laughs, but I think we got the shot 😏

The journey. One foot forward, and you keep doing that. I've been on this path for quite some time myself. My journey happens to be with a shutter. I work on my craft everyday; I live in it. Using a camera to take pictures is just one thing, you capture that one moment and hopefully convey the story without explaining it.......I love shooting video because you can convey a message even when there isn't words to express it. I'm going to continue to express myself with a camera for as long as I live. @jeri.active

An epic all night with the squad exploring many landmarks in the capital. 30hours no sleep and 34,000 steps later was fair to say London destroyed us.
