  • 'Ayni is one of the most important words to know in Quechua as the backbone of Andean culture, it is the culture of sacred reciprocity that is strongly upheld especially in rural communities here. ⛰The Andean people believe in fair exchange whether that be material or work, never is there something for nothing and if you do a good thing for the people they will want to repay you, all is fair and equal' @alexx_jw. 🙏😍Do you believe everything you do comes back to you?💨 #rainbowmountaintravels 🌈

  • Our friend @mydetoxtravel says,
This image took me 5 hours to process. The reason is that the file size is a little over 6GB, a result from a 21-shot Milky Way panorama and 7-shot foreground. It was very challenging to work with such a huge file and transform it in a 4x5 portrait shot for IG. We stayed a week in Torres del Paine and only had 2 sunrises and 2 nights worth shooting because of poor weather conditions. Patagonia is a place that takes time, patience, perseverance and dedication if you want to get a good shot. Hope you like this one!

Who’s planning a trip to Patagonia for the 2019/2020 season?! #VisitSouthAmerica #ExperienceChile

(ENGLISH ➡️) Machu Picchu is a 15th-century Inca citadel, located in the Eastern Cordillera of southern Peru, on a mountain ridge 2,430 metres above sea level. It is located in the Cusco Region, Urubamba Province, Machupicchu District in Peru, above the Sacred Valley, which is 80 kilometres northwest of Cuzco and through which the Urubamba River flows, cutting through the Cordillera and creating a canyon with a tropical mountain climate! The Incas built the estate around 1450 but abandoned it a century later at the time of the Spanish Conquest. Machu Picchu was declared a Peruvian Historic Sanctuary in 1981 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. In 2007, Machu Picchu was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in a worldwide Internet poll! -

  • Those of you who don’t believe in Global Warming, well just look at this - I am 5,400m above sea level at the highest ski resort in the world. It fully closed in 2007 when the tens of thousands of people didn’t come back because the glacier finally melted. It honestly made me so upset, imagining people coming here skiing and being happy, whilst now looking at a desert this high up. We need to do something about pollution and the warming of our world or else she will be gone before we know it - we only have one Pachamama 🥺

  • Sections of this citadel were first built by the Killke Culture about 1100; they had occupied the area since 900. The complex was expanded and added to by the Inca from the 13th century; they built dry stone walls constructed of huge stones. The workers carefully cut the boulders to fit them together tightly without mortar. The site is at an altitude of 3,701 m (12,142 ft).
