Since there is some sort of the sunset flash mob going on, here is mine for you. No filter on this one ! Definitely one of the most colorful sunsets I’ve ever seen in Malaysia.
Everyone stopped everything and was taking loads of pictures, locals and tourists alike. Sunsets like this one are definitely one of the perks of beach bum life. ☀️

First prize to the person who can tell what time it was in Bali just by looking at those sun rays? If you know you know! 😛
So good to have met and shot with Camille and Jean @backpackdiariez, such legends!
I hope to inspire y’all 📷_____________________________________________
Borneo. The name elicits imagery of dense, mist-enshrouded, mountainous, jungle canopy being patrolled by orangutans, monkeys and a myriad of wildlife. While still true on a large part of the island, the southeast of Sabah, in Malaysian Borneo, has been radically transformed by #deforestation and miles upon miles of palm groves are found in place of the jungle.
However, offshore is a different story of #conservation as the Malaysian government is serious about protecting its marine life, which provides a huge export in tourism as one of the diving capitals of the world. With a massive influx of Chinese tourists as the main source of demand, it was refreshing to see these posters around the arrivals lobby in Tawau and hotels in Semporna. #saveouroceans
So I’m headed back to India... 🔮
That’s right, after trekking around Asia earlier this year I’ve decided I didn’t quite get enough.
Don’t get me wrong, I learned a ton of stuff about myself and this wacky world, but more than anything I started to lift the top off an energy that’s been swirling around inside me since I was like 2 years old.
The desire to understand what makes people tick, light up, and go... what inspires them to think, feel, and be more than they were before... what drives them to not just create a better world than they entered, but to also experience it at the highest levels they can possibly imagine.
Sure there are many ways to explore this, but for me digging deeper into the world of philosophy, psychology, religion, and rituals is what I gotta do. There are still some connections to be made between Eastern and Western ways of life, love, and business - and I’m working on some plans to help build the bridge 😁
And since I’ve already got that wanderlust I’ve decided to invest in the first-hand experience, keep on traveling, and create some ‘content’ in the meantime 📹
So feel free to join the ride with me, check out my new YouTube channel (link in bio), and explore @thesubstrand as you live out your own journeys. I’ll be serving up insights, inspiration, and a healthy dose of sarcasm as I hopefully learn cool things and meet boss gurus, healers and creators along the way 🕺
And now... Yoga!!!

The Kek Lok Si Temple is a Buddhist temple situated in Air Itam, Penang, Malaysia. It is the largest Buddhist temple in the country ,and is also an important pilgrimage centre for Buddhists from Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore and other countries in Southeast Asia

I can’t believe that I would actually see a #Baobab in person, because you can only see these trees in arid regions of #Madagascar , mainland #Africa , #Arabia , and #Australia !😍 It can grow to enormous sizes. Baobabs store water in the trunk (up to 120,000 liters to endure harsh drought conditions. ❤️ 🌳 #Singapore#GardensByTheBay#FlowerDome#AnnAdventures (Last 2 photos are not mine, I just took it from Pinterest to show how big they can get!
No words are enough to describe how amazing, fascinating, gorgeous this place is. I went out for short walk with a small hanbag after having lunch in Sapa town, and without noticing it myself, followed a road down the hill that opened up to a valley with breathtaking view of the rice terraces. I met no foreigner on my way, I guess very few people actually go trekking by themselves to such a hidden place like that. But that's even better - all the beauty is reserved for me and locals that I occasionally met on my way 🤗

Today did not involve going to a castle...in fact, it didn’t include any exploring at all! We have been in our hotel room as it has been chucking it down all day. Not ideal for our last day in South Korea but you can’t win them all... ———————————-
On a brighter note, tomorrow afternoon we fly to a new country: Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and we really don’t know what to expect. We’ve heard it’s absolute chaos 😂 Have you been before? What did you think?
In the blink of an eye, my outfit goes from relaxed fit to spandex tight as the fabric clings to my sweat. #ehstophos

Do you know that Namsan Seoul Tower was the Korea's first integrated transmission tower from 1969, beaming television and radio broadcasts across the metropolitan area? Since it has open to the public in 1980, it is now a symbol of Seoul. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In order to get there, we took the cable car up to the mountain while you can opt for bus ride up to the hill too. When we arrived at the top, we were greeted with nice mountain view and the "Locks of Love," with thousands of padlocks attached to the fence by romantic Seoulites or tourists. The locals were really creative that some of them even attached the used phone cases with love messages written on it.
The Mekong Delta’s traditional Vietnamese name is Đồng bằng Sông Cửu Long, which means Nine Dragon River Delta. This is based on the fact that river empties into the sea through a network of distributaries.
