Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.”—Carl Sagan.
In 2019, let each of your actions push the world a little bit further from evil and closer to goodness. I truly believe that the decisions we make this year matter and have far greater effects than we may realize.
These photos give great perspective on the vastness of the cosmos and our place in space. 🌌 🔭
3 Dimensional sections demonstrate construction method intent. Helping to visualise how the systems work and how the material goes together.
Segment from the “Einstein Fiddle” a theoretical project demonstrating how application of abstract concepts & research can be implemented into the built environment.
If you read Einstein, you will discover he expressed himself through the violin, which is an object of beauty, functional through creation of geometric sound and interactive through individual input to induce sound.
Therefore the notion of ‘symphony’ is tested architecturally.
Acoustic Islands concept: the internals of a musical instrument explored on human scale. The experience is enhanced by measured soundscape rhythms which are focused with acoustic mirrors. The rhythm is individually manipulated by the pace of travel through the space.
The project is designed like a musical instrument; focusing and amplifying natural sounds sourced from activity within, resulting in craft of visual and auditory symphony. Thus stimulating the senses and raising awareness of context through acoustic islands - which host programmes such as craft workshops where you invest time and help. In return, gain practical wisdom which can be applied to ones life. For example, become a biologist, a physicist, a musician, an engineer, an architect, a carpenter and such, for a day or more and explore individual talents within a community where low credit is not a deterrent (this forms the sustainable individual social contribution).
Everything in nature is interconnected and multi-purpose and this idea is captured in the instrument we know as the Violin which is interpreted through my architecture. It is all about aesthetic and stimulation, interaction and function.
Silence is Golden when you are around lower vibrational people.
Remember, you have nothing to prove to anyone, but yourself. You aren't here to compete with people. Let others do their thing without feeding them the emotions they seek in you.
Your smile, your lack of response, mixed with a calm demeanor acts as 24/7 vibrational armor.
For a calm mind, meditate daily.
The veil nebula in Cygnus is what is left of a star that exploded 8,000 years ago. It is a large scale shockwave which heats up the surrounding gasses in space. This image was created with my friend @j.sorrellsphoto and his telescope in Idaho. This is 4 hours of RGB data collected from some extremely dark skies. The short summer nights in the north make it difficult to collect a lot of data, but the skies there make up for it. The scope used was an ES127 and an ASI1600 camera.

A lot of my fellow environmentalist disparage space exploration, arguing that the money spent on it could be invested in the planet we already have. And while I agree that more money & effort should go toward healing our Earth — but the final frontier might have exactly what we need to help us. —————————————————
I was born on the 20th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission that brought us to the moon, and I really wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up. And I still believe that investing in space exploration could lead to advances in renewable energy, medicine, resource availability, and more. —————————————————
As so many people like to say, “There is now Planet B”... but what if there could be! —————————————————

The Falcon Heavy is the first partially reusable rocket and has the highest payload capacity of any current operational launch vehicle.
A launch costs between 90 and 150 million dollar, while by its competitors the costs vary between 165 and 350 million dollar.
Unnecessary to say that money saved on the launch can be invested otherwise (research, new missions etc.) Right image is the Space Launch System (SLS) which is currently under development and will be used for deep space missions.
The SLS will have more lifting capacity then the Falcon Heavy, but the SLS isn’t reusable and will have way higher costs per launch.
Which one would you prefer?
