Boston Super on Saturday was...rough. But also awesome. Started at 1:30pm right after the rain had started. Volunteered that morning from 5:30am to 1pm so all I had were snacks all day and I did not have any of the proper nutrition in me, not to mention being exhausted. The entire course had mud at least a foot deep everywhere, I felt and cut my legs up multiple times which have left me in pain today.
Unfortunately I couldn’t complete most of the obstacles I normally can because of all the rain and mud, but still finished in my goal time at 3.5 hours!
How did everyone else fair out there on the course??
I tried to run today bit was feeling so lazy and tired (maybe ate too much before, bit let's pretend that's not the reason lol)
One day I'll wake up and love running, but until it happens I'll still keep trying amd hating it hahaha
I’ll spare you all yet another #backtoschool photo in your feed today. You’re welcome. Instead, you get to see my little #TrifectTribe member rocking out the Boston course!
Watch the videos and you’ll be smiling for the rest of the day from the awesomeness that is the #spartankidsrace 😁. Loving my daughter’s spirit and joy... and even though her burpees weren’t chest to ground - her form was waaayyy better than any other kid I saw, lol. Actually, quite fun to see these kids attempting anything on the course. Hilarity and cuteness all wrapped up in one mile. I loved that she did all 15 burpees (without complaint) when most kids were doing like 3 and taking off.
My favorite moment? After getting her finisher medal and banana, we were passing a boy (about her age). Danica stopped me and said, “oh wait, that boy and I were helping some kids in the course!” To my surprise, she immediately walked over to him and his mom and said - with a solid high five ✋🏽 - “Hey, good job! Way to go!” My heart could have burst at that moment!😍. I was so proud to see her integrity and good sportsmanship shine at such a young age!
So, swipe right 👉🏽 to enjoy the videos of the kiddos. Ofcourse, I did post her back to school pics in my IG story. You’re welcome. 😆.
Two years ago I signed up for my first Tough Mudder with only 6 weeks to train for it. I knew the timing of the opportunity was clear. Make the most of the short time we have on this earth and get in better shape NOW.
There had been too much death surrounding my family and I and it was clear I needed to run this race.
After doing my medical due dilligence and training, I still had concerns of having a heart attack on the course but the thought of not doing it could lead to something equally as horrible. Back then I thought, in a few years, if I survive, I may be ready to run a Spartan race.
Jumping forward from my first OCR race in July 2017 to now, I completed my first Spartan Super and Sprint in Boston during SuperSprint weekend and did a Stadion earlier
The Boston weekend was rough, very rough. It showed me where I need to improve so I can be better prepared for the Beast later this year. This year I will earn my first Trifecta of many more to come. Once that has been accomplished, I can look to the future at a Hurricane Heat or Spartan Mountain series.
For now, train, live life to the best of your ability, and continue to increase your ability to live your
best life. #SpartanRace#thisisspartan#thisissparta#ocr#ocrlife#spartantrifecta#spartantrifecta2019 #spartantrifectatribe#spartantrifectaweekend#trifectatribe #spartansuper#spartansprint#spartansuper2019#spartan#spartanboston

That face you make when the haters are hating but you just flip over the heavy shit and shake it off ✌🏻
When I did my first spartan race, the rings were one of the hardest obstacles for me. So when I made it through them on my second race I was freakin proud 🙌🏻💪🏻 It definitely wasn’t a perfect race by any means, but I finished.
Every workout doesn’t have to be your best, but you can always find some small victory to celebrate. Just show up! #spartanboston
This is the first weekend since early July that I don’t have a race. After completing over 80 race miles (not including training miles during the week) during the past 5 weeks, my body is real happy about the break but my mind and heart want to hit the trails. I guess I can wait one more week until #spartanwestpoint comes around. For now, here are some shots from #spartanboston last weekend 😁
