Callanish Stone circle lit gently at night with a torch
Isle of Lewis - Outer Hebrides.
I took this back in 2010 .. when I arrived there were people standing up against the stones feeling the energy. Luckily when the temperature dropped and dusk fell they drifted off .. just in time for me to gently light the stones with a big torch and use a long exposure to capture the detail in the rocks.
I can see why these stones were used as inspiration for Craigh Na Dun in Outlander.
The famous church of Vik. I was lucky enough to catch this church in the rain on a foggy day. Most times there’s a mountain backdrop and you can overlook the town which is beautiful. But I’m stoked to catch it in these conditions where I could pull a reflection from the wet pavement and isolate the church on its own. I’ve never seen it photographed like this before and I’m happy I could get something original (as far as I know). So even if conditions aren’t “perfect” go out and adapt to the conditions to make the most out of the situation.

Anzac Day Sunrise!
This morning I thought it would be cool to head to the beach and shoot the sunrise as I've never gone out to shoot the sunrise on anzac day before.
Wasn't the worst sunrise either which was nice, a beautiful start to the day today.
This day of days again we keep,
In memory of those who sleep ,
Forever by the quiet sea,
Away in far Gallipoli.
Tis Anzac day,
Tis Anzac day,
Oh soldier comrades far away,
You died in war...that we in peace,
May live and love for ever more.
Warmth of the sun and shade of the cloud,
The smell of the earth and the song of the wild,
the chirping of birds and buzzing of the bugs,
color of the sky that makes us happy,
colours bush that makes us fresh,
And oh mother Earth, you give me my breath,
And look what "us" have done to you.
I am very greatful that you still let us walk upon you ❤️
