  • Passion is defined as an intense desire or enthusiasm for something. Photography is a passion of mine. I get asked a lot of questions that begin with “how did you...”. My answer to most of these questions are: You need to willing to put in the hard work to get better at your passion. Even if that means getting up at 330am to prep for a 545am sunrise portfolio shoot that you put together. Or whatever the situation may be, there’s no excuses. If you want to get better, set yourself up for success. Create opportunities. Be willing to learn. Be willing to teach. You can make what seems impossible become the possible. .

  • The Ultimate High
1.Adrenaline like most drugs will take you to a heightened version of reality that you can't come to naturally:You gain a new perspective because of it.

After 14 years of playing the feeling is still the same one of being filled emotionally to the point of excess.

2.When you kill it on a Tournament Sunday you get slaps from the squad or phone somebody up ,intent to share the excitement, the feeling.

3..In the moment of success you filled up the void & have a little extra that you wish to share.

Years ago in the club on a couch with music pulsing through the air ,I had a profound realization:A moment where I finally understood. "Oh,so this is how people who feel no void operate".Some say it feels like everything is bright even when it's dark out or that you're "on-top" of something.

4.Maybe, it gives you the courage to do things that you want to do but for whatever reasons you choose not to.

5.Before:You are too busy trying to fill the void with work, school, play, laughs, music, content from your life:Here, you have the excess.

6.It's such an interesting experience because you tell yourself "Whoa I can probably hit this without the drug,I can do things in my life....exercise .... gratitude"
Gratitude:100% I shit you not

7.It's fucking crazy:You don't get to notice that until your there. It's SO easy to tell people. "Hey you should be grateful, and then you'll feel better "

8.But if they are not able to feel the sensation of gratitude you're explaining Chinese to somebody who doesn't know what the fuck the language is .

9.I'm lucky enough to have had the resources in my life where I've been able to give back and experience this sensation without any drugs or activity save for sitting on a couch or at a table in a restaurant.

The ultimate high is being in the service of someone you love:I know that sounds like an asinine statement but ask people who have children. It's like you're fucking heart walking around outside your body.

Look around at the next music festival you attend, or better yet look around in your life for the person who fills that void.

Like an opportunity to strike, they can disappear before you know it.
