Sometimes when you are on a rocky path with your eyes set on finding a new beginning, you don't even realize that peace is right in front of your feet, that maybe you just cannot see it right now... at this time, where you are, the way the world looks right now... but maybe there are just obstacles blocking your view... ones that make your journey ahead toward whatever you wish for next seem daunting... discouraging... but it is when we find ourselves frozen at the crossroads between giving up and pressing on that we have a beautiful opportunity to pause, to wait, to look down at where we are standing... and to notice... in that stillness we can breathe, find gratitude, slow down, be present, and with patience watch the icy world begin to thaw... perhaps Thich Nhat Hanh is right... peace IS every step... and it can be found in the perfect spaces between them.
Well, while Glebe Central (dog) Park is still quite flooded from a whole lotta spring snow melt, it does make for a pretty sunset picture tonight (and probably quite a few happy, frolicking water dogs, too!) (Glebe neighbourhood, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada)
'Bout time we thaw out the ol' Instagram account, sorry we've been MIA so long (assuming you even noticed us absent from your feed?)... Well, even if you haven't missed us we've sure missed you, just been busy behind the scenes and our social media ended up going ghost for a while... So let's get right back to it, got a ton of backlogged customer projects patiently awaiting their moment in the spotlight, new items we'll roll out gradually, cool things from old friends and new makers, and whatever else might inspire us enough to pick up the phone and share it.
TRAIL UPDATE - Gully Lake Trails are OPEN, accessible and beautiful. Message us for suggestions😀
Rogart Mtn Trail is temporarily CLOSED! All this rain and traffic have meant it’s torn up and wet and muddy and needs a break til things dry up a little. Cobequid Ecotrails Society have closed the trail and will be digging some trenches this weekend to help drainage. #takingcareofRogartMtnTrail#cobequidecotrailssociety #hikens#springthaw
