It’s #fitnessfriday and I wanted to share how happy I’ve been not only working out with Brian at the new gym......being able to punch out my frustrations with the punching back, the preplanned work outs the gym provides...... I also wanted to share how on April 3rd I’m going to try the Whole30.....
They say that you should start on the 1st of the month, but if you have upcoming food stuff, to push it off a little. So hence while I’m beginning on the 3rd.
It’s a 30 day “cleanse” more like a restart for your system so you can test and see which kinds of foods are effecting you in a negative way. It says 30 days, but I’m gonna try until the end of June..... The rules are :
No added sugar
No legumes (beans, peanuts etc)
No Dairy (this will be the hardest and the first thing I gradually add back)
No “recreating junk food with OK ingredients
No scale or measurements
The hardest for me will be the dairy and grains.....but I will do it. I just got my dress in the mail yesterday, I got it in a size i know I can get to, and if I get smaller even better. For me it’s not just about losing weight, it’s also getting in the habit of eating healthier so my family can be healthier too.....and living a healthy lifestyle.

A new 8-week Portrait Class, to run on Friday mornings weekly. Starting on Friday 29th March.
Hayley Whittingham is a qualified young artist many of you will know, as she gained an award and a commission, for her beautiful entry in the 2017 Scottish Portrait Award. She is interested to help our portrait group, and has been attending the sessions in February and March, and getting to know some of our own painters there. She currently works as a tutor with Edinburgh Council “City Sketching” classes, and with Edinburgh University Art College. If you would like to meet Hayley before the classes start, please come to one of the portrait group sessions (on Friday 8 th and 15 th March) where she will be happy to talk to you about her teaching.
Hayley aims with her new class, to give drawers and painters instruction and new inspirations on methods styles and materials. Please see the details below, on the Portrait Class dates. Members and non-members are welcome, whether you are a beginner or seasoned artist.
