  • SELF CHECK IN! (Caution long post 🚨)
For the past two months life has been going up and down for me and my family. I’ve been trying to stay on track with my workouts and eating. For a little while I had some medicine withdraws I had to go through and sort out. There has been new life changes as far as me having a job again and college recently started last week. Crazy training hours Took up majority of my day, and if I wasn’t training I was taking my night classes. It was like I didn’t even see my family for maybe two hours a day during that time frame. 
Very stressful and chaotic environment, for me at least, especially with my anxiety and postpartum. I let it affect my work life as far as this business that I work, and for that I am extremely apologetic to my up line coach (@victoriagibbsfitness ) my fiancé (@jarret_king ) and my baby boy. 
This is something that I really want to achieve and accomplish well at and be a great example for my family as well as myself personally. 
Whether It was growing up with insecurities or not being sure of myself, those are some of the things that has me wanting to be living proof to my past self and to others that this is one of the best decisions you make for yourself. 
Sometimes as a mom and a human being with responsibilities and others who depend on you, it makes it hard to put yourself first and be selfish every now and then. But, something my mother in law instilled in me was “How are you supposed to take care of your son or anyone else if you’re not making sure you’re in check?” I try to remind myself of that each time  I want to step back or think I’m unable to do something. 
KEEP GOING! No matter the obstacles. If you have to pause, that’s fine just set a date or time when you’re going to come back. Don’t just drop it entirely. •

  • Caring less means less stress.  I’m done trying to fix the world.  Just gonna concentrate on me and mine.  I’m the type to work hard for what I have and appreciate everything I got in return.

  • I just want to spread a message of a mental change of wardrobe. From time to time we all need to dress ourselves mentally for the season of life we are currently in. We can’t walk around in shorts and a vest when it’s snowing outside - so apply the same logic mentally. Get rid of things that that take their toll on your mood and emotions, prioritise which areas of life your focus to on!! And free yourself to a more economic and stress free mindset 💜

  • Yes we do well with all the aches, pains, and headaches, but this, THIS is one of my favorite benefits of getting adjusted. 
A study in 2011 used a PET scan to measure neuronal activity of the brain after one single adjustment. They were able to demonstrate that the sympathetic tone of the nervous system was inhibited, salivary amylase decreased, regional metabolic brain changes occurred, and pain intensity and muscle tonicity decreased following just one Chiropractic adjustment. 
To simplify, what this means is the adjustment shut down the stress response. So yes, this is why you feel well both physically and mentally after an adjustment.   • Not going to lie, this has been a week of hell for me at work! I’ve worked out but not getting that “release” of tension I was needing! I didn’t feel like running AT ALL, but I made myself. I ran a 6 mile trail run by my house, thanks to my neighbors for letting me trespass lol. And you know what, about 4 miles in, I found that “I can conquer the world attitude” again! Not entirely sure what made this difference, I’m just thinking mind over matter (maybe all the bugs I was slapping off) but what whatever it was, I felt tough as nails and reminded me “I got this”! Bye bye stress, you aren’t taking this down! Lol well so to speak! Just gotta get moving and clear that head of yours! #trailrunning #stayingpositive #healthyhabits #feelingstrong💪 #getmoving #becarefree #stressfree #ownyourlife
