Leica Cloud. Leica M10-P Safari with the Summicron 50mm APO LHSA Special Edition. It’s almost a sin to shoot Lofoten, Norway in B&W because of the all the colorful houses and boats. But anyway, fun fact, the striking red houses we associate with Norway today are actually the cheapest houses in the old days because the days when color were naturally produced from whale oils, red was the cheapest color to produce, conversely white color houses belongs mainly to the rich because pure white was very hard to produce therefore the most expensive. But today those original red houses hold the highest prices and have become the symbol of Norway’s countryside. That brings me back to Leica Black Paint, a great condition boxed M3 silver color which were in high demand nearly a century ago just sold at an auction recently for around 2000 euros, while a beat up black painted one that journalists had to practically beg Leica to produce at the time, would today sell for close to 20000 euros. Oh well...............#🔴 #leicam#leicam3#leicablackpaint
