#aidenisadrummer left a comment on today’s photo of Shiprock explaining how to post a “scrolling” or “carousel” panorama on Instagram. (Thanks Aiden!) While I was able to accomplish the task for that photo I had no end of frustration trying to repeat the process on this photo taken over Thanksgiving vacation - I think in 2014 and posted (severely cropped) two years ago. After consulting a UTube, frame by frame, hosted by a girl who clearly knew her stuff but who also insisted on covering 15 steps per second, I refined Aiden’s instructions and now can present a panoramic post perfectly...I think. I know many swear by learning the UTube way but as tech challenged old-fart boomer I’ve found they all seem to run the same course. They begin with a knowledgeable “teacher” who seeks to put me at ease with assurances of how “simple” the task is and some disarming humor that shows what a “regular joe” they are. Then they embark on the content and lose me in the second sentence. They clearly know their stuff but forget what it feels like to be an audience who doesn’t and consistently assume knowledge that at least this old-fart lacks. #centralcoast#california#pacificocean#pacificcoast#pampasgrass#surf#sunsetphotography#sunset#ocean#hwy101
Never met a sunset I didn’t like.
My most favourite thing to do is to wake up to catch a beautiful sunrise; a fresh reminder everyday is a new beginning.... and make time to watch the sunset in peace.
