Took a little break! Normally, I would apologize but I am learning there is no need to apologize for needing time for me! My family life is better for it, as well!
Today was very emotion packed for Princess Bug. I don't blame her as I was pretty overwhelmed myself today! I even napped when Priness Lily napped.
I did do my workout this morning even though I was pretty tired this morning. It was leg day today. I worked them and then did my ab and butt workouts.
This evening I got the crying picture of Princess Bug to capture just how much she loves playing with our neighbour across the street. She cried when I told her she had to wait until we were all done supper to play. Then they had a wonderful time playing sidewalk chalk and cruising on their bikes!
Enjoy the little moments because they are easy to miss!
This #sweetgirl keeps tripping and falling lately. One of the other dogs walks by her, she trips and falls splat flat to the ground. She shook her head and both back legs went out from under her. Kids come running in the room and she tries to get out of the way, trips over the rug or food bowl and ends up sprawled out on the ground again. Poor girl. Her tail wags. She lays there helpless struggling to get up till we help her. I'm not ready for it to be #hertime yet 😭😭😭😭😭
My hope is that my happy little girl never loses her joy for life. Her funny faces and inquisitive mind create this huge, joyful personality. It's a beautiful thing and reminds me every day to be thankful for the little things. Many parents hope their children will be smart, but I just want mine to be happy and kind. ❤️
HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY to one of my favorite little humans Kyndall Leigh Grace ❤️ mommy loves you so much and you know this but here’s me announcing to the world 😊 you are so smart and beautiful and I’m so lucky to have you and your sister you guys make everything in my life so much better 🤞🏽❤️ #lifepartners#sweetgirl
This post is for all the shy dogs waiting for their chance. As a director of PAWs and a foster of countless dogs, it's the shy ones that break your heart. Perhaps it's because they're with you the longest or perhaps it's because you saw them as a frightened dog and watched them turn into a confident and loving dog. It's hard to do meet and greets. Their eyes beg you to keep them as you mean everything to them. But it's not possible. So you prepare the potential adopter as to what they should expect with their first meeting but despite it, you sense their disappointment. Flora had two meet and greets this week. She was so good and I was so proud but the response received was that they did not make a connection or that they were worried that she would never really change. It's understandable of course. Adopting a dog is a big decision and generally a decision that people feel has to be made rather quickly. Why take a chance on a dog that isn't even making eye contact? You want to scream that this is the dog that will adore you, that will jump through hoops for you, that will nearly jump in your arms when you come home, but it wall fall on deaf ears. I get it but it makes me sad. Flora, all I can tell you is that sometimes it's dogs like you that find the best homes in the end because those adopters see potential, they see something that no one else saw and then the moon, the stars and sun align and it's magical. To any rescues following our page, please tell us about your shy dogs in need of homes in the comments. To any adopters of shy dogs, share your pictures and tag us. Let's help these dogs find amazing homes. #shydog#bigheart#sweetgirl#goodgirl#availableforadoption
