The messages I write for you daily are not always channeled, sometimes they are very deep and personal for me, and they reflect how I feel and what I need the most at that moment. They help you guys, but you have no idea how much they do actually help myself. I invite you and encourage you to start writing your own journal if you haven’t already. Writing down your thoughts, feelings and perspectives helps to let it all out and transmute the energy. It helps to gain more clarity and shift perspective. You don’t need writing skills or to be grammatically correct to express yourself. All you need is to be you. Transparent and vulnerable. I’m sending you love & my support. Love you all guys, @lukasnotes 🖤 #mindsetofgreatness

Hello my fellow warriors! It is the middle of the night here and I am already positive of that the next day will be exhausting. Do you have those nights where you can not sleep and all you can think of is how tired you will be tomorrow? This is just part of the illnesses that we fight everyday. So, if you will wake up with not as much sleep as you need—practice self care. It will only become worse if you do not. To a great healthy day!! #selfcare#tiredbutcantsleep#tomorrowisgoingtosuck#takecareofyourself#lovesleep#hugstoheal and as always #warriorhugs 🤗

I’ve taken the last few weeks to spend time off of social media as much as possible. I think we can all get so caught up in the lives of others or give too much of ourselves to our phones and social media platforms that we often forget to actually LIVE our lives. For me, things reached a point with my mental health that it just felt right to take a step back. I only planned on being absent for three days at first, but that has turned into 3 weeks now because I have felt SO much better. I’m someone who craves calm environments and peace. When things get chaotic, I tend to get overwhelmed and become too invested in things that don’t make me feel good. I finally decided to stop doing that and to put myself (and my wife) first. I encourage anyone who struggles with spending a lot of time on their phone or doesn’t benefit positively from social media to just take a break. Give it three days to take care of YOU. I’ve spent the last few weeks sorting things out and setting realistic goals for myself that will move my life in the direction I’m envisioning. Thank you to the people who have checked on Brittney and I since we’ve been M.I.A, we’re doing great and plan to continue our break from our phones to keep up all of the hard work we’ve been putting in to just be ourselves again. Just wanted to give an update and remind anyone reading this that NO MATTER WHAT, it is always okay to do whatever in the hell feels right for you. And as always, I encourage everyone to be kind today. In person and on the internet. You will never know what someone else is going through. Be back sooner or later...whenever it feels RIGHT to me. 💖💖 #email@example.com
It is getting too much sometimes. You cannot handle it anymore. The task list grows and grows.
It doesn’t even matter whether this is a private or professional scenario (mostly a mix). Private scenarios can lead to distress as much as professional stress.
But there is a way out. Prioritize your own mental and physical health again.
This is how to help you say ‘no’:
▶️ Define what is manageable for YOU
It is only you who can say what’s manageable. We humans are an extraordinary race. We can surprise ourselves and push us to extremes. The problem is, we might push too far. Don’t wait until the first symptoms arise, but instead design your individual work-life plan.
▶️ Inform others about when/what makes you say no
Once you came up with your plan, follow through. You might want to give it a trail period to see whether it really works for you. But then be clear about it. Do not feel ashamed to communicate it with your environment - private and work. They will understand!
▶️ Be polite, but firm
What a fast paced lives we live. Always running, always hustling.
From one goal to another, the thirst to do everything all at once never stops. And you know what? Maybe it shouldn't
But once in a while, in middle of the stress ridden life, it's important to take a break. To remember hobbies and everything that made you happy. It's important to remember how to just sit back sometimes and breathe.

Its astonishing but more than 20 million people in the UK are deemed physically inactive (as per the BHF). that is nearly a third of the total UK population.....
Let that sink in for a while, is it no wonder we are a nation with a struggling healthcare system, a diabetes and obesity epidemic?
Will you be one of these statistics?
Do you choose to fight for your health and that of your family?
The availability of health, fitness and nutrition information has never been more abundant, but yet we still face these problems.
Is it a failure to take action on the information, or confusion because there is so much.
I agree that even speaking as a professional it can be difficult to see the wood for the trees when it comes to deciphering the right from wrong information.
There are no shortage of people with unhealthy quick fixes and 'magic' teas, coffees or pills, but these are not the answer.
65% of all dieters put back on more weight than they lost, thai may be for many reasons, such as messed up metabolism from extreme dieting, hormonal damage from extreme dieting, lack of understanding of building a healthy diet.
Whatever the reason, don't be a boomerang to a slimming club, a slave to 'diet' drinks, find the path that works for you.
Work with a qualified professional that can guide you properly so you get sustainable and successful results.
Here is your invitation, if you are struggling, not sure what is best, where to turn, then let me help you, get in touch and we can start a conversation.

W H A T A beautiful reminder that with balance you can have it all. It may mean you'll need to weigh your options and say no to some things but with that you are aligning with your heart and soul. It's great to work hard, sometimes there's no choice but always remember to take the time for yourself also. Relax into a bath, exercise, eat well. They're all simple little things that will make giving your all all the more easier.

Sleep quality and duration affects every aspect of our health and it may influence a wide array of conditions such as obesity, diabetes and hypertension.
Research has associated some chemicals, nutrients, and hormones with good sleep and some of them include tryptophan, calcium, potassium, magnesium, zinc, omega-3 and melatonin.
These compounds are found in the following foods and if you were to increase them in your diet you would definitely improve the quality of your sleep. · Almonds · Walnuts · Warm Milk · Fatty fish (i.e salmon) · Kiwi
To get the maximum benefits of these sleep-promoting foods, try eating them a few hours before bed to reduce the risk of indigestion.
Ahh nobody deserves to feel “bloated” after a meal, right.
Have the pleasure of eating a delicious feijoada (good right) or also a lentil / pea salad (adooooro) without feeling “pregnant (o)” SWELLING the best thing in life !!!
Follow this tip and goodbye post meal bloating:
When we leave the grains to soak (the time of each grain is different, I usually make lentils every 6 hours) enzymes and other substances are able to neutralize the “phytate” (anti nutrient), thus facilitating the vitamins, proteins and minerals better absorbed by our body.
Knowing this ..... let's say GOODBYE TO THE SWELLING, prepare the beans first!! #takecareofyourself#takecareofyourbody#nomoreswelling#adeusinchaco#loveyourbody#beans#swollenfree#feelinglighter#feelingthefreedom#happiness#motivation#tips

Self-study and enquiry have become a part of my daily routine. Using these practices to undo any programming that has been imposed on me as well as practicing forgiveness and compassion for myself.
Here are a few ways I “check-in”:
💫Seated breath work ( #bhramaripranayama )
💫Yoga Nidra (Very excited to have discovered this lately)
💫Time alone (Preferably in Nature)
💫indulging in self care practices (Dry brushing, face roller etc etc - to connect to my body and show it love and acceptance)
💫Reading (There is a bucket load of information out there! Get some! I’m currently busy reading “The Power of Now” by @ekhart_tolle ).
What are your self- study practices? .

Last weekend I went on my first ever solo camping adventure. Most of my camping experience has been limited to festivals where I usually sat around drinking vodka out of a plastic cup while someone else put up my tent for me, so I was a little nervous about doing it all by myself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had SUCH a great weekend! I hiked, walked on the beach, meditated in a gorge, put up the tent with only one minor mishap, meditated on the beach, read my book, went for an early morning swim in the ocean and had bulk roadtrip singalongs. Being alone really helps me to recharge my batteries, and spending the weekend adventuring around Tasmania by myself made me feel independent, strong and free. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now I'm checking my diary wondering how many plans I can get away with cancelling so that I can do it again...
I watched clips of memorial service for Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant and thought of this quote. Vanessa Bryant's heart-wrenching eulogy brought tears to my eyes. I felt her heartache through her words and her pain from the pauses she took in between her sentences. Amid the overwhelming sadness, I remember how lucky I am that my loved ones are safe, and my husband is home tonight. I remind myself to be grateful for each day that I have with the people I love and to be mindful of how I spend the time I have left in this world.
Hold on tight to the ones you love; every day you have with them is truly a precious gift.
Have you heard of the phrase “chipped nail polish is like having dirty clothes on” ? •
I love that phrase, not because I think that having chipped nail polish means that your wear dirty clothes or that your dirty because of having chipped nail polish. But simply because it made me picture myself from someone else’s perspective. •
How do would I portray myself? What are the things everyone else would notice about me? The more and more I thought about the more I realised in the corporate world looks do matter but not in a superficial way. But more about how you present yourself, how to sit and pay attention during meetings and how you articulate yourself. •
After a few years I realised that there is nothing wrong with looking your best and showing it off. But it shows your self confidence and let’s that be your first impression you make. So dress up, show up and never give up. ✨ •

What are your options if you find out you have SIBO?
1. You could do nothing. SIBO will not kill you any time soon. Though you'll likely continue to feel crappy. .
2. Treat with antibiotics. There are specific antibiotics that can be very efficient at eradicating the overgrowth of bacteria. Xifaxan, one of the antibiotics commonly used, actually stays in the gut and isn't well absorbed systemically (which is great if we're wanting to decrease total body impact). Clinically, I've found this method useful for people who need something straightforward and easy or who can't tolerate swallowing a lot of capsules. It works best with dietary modifications that acknowledge food sensitivities and also in conjunction with a few supplements. It may be better for kids and for adults who have a hard time remembering to take their meds throughout the day. .
3. Treat with herbal antimicrobials: Studies done by John's Hopkins compared treatment with conventional antibiotics against herbal antimicrobials and found the two to be equally effective. Clinically, I've seen this method work very well but it needs to be paired with major food modifications (including avoiding food sensitivities and high FODMAP foods), it requires numerous supplements and it is very specific about when you must take each one. This is for the very compliant, motivated, naturopathic enthusiast. .
In either protocol, patients will need to adhere to the full treatment plan to get the best results. SIBO treatment is often a journey, not a one-and-done solution. It requires eradication of the overgrown population of bacteria, reduction in gut inflammation, increasing gut integrity through healing modalities, and potentially ongoing awareness of predisopsing factors. .
You'll definitely want to work with someone who can help you navigate this path. Look for someone well-versed in SIBO management.
