Get ready to say bye bye to this. We’re gearing up to establish a stronger web presence, so we’re brainstorming how to make the website (and overall brand!) more cohesive and flexible for issues and projects to come. The first website was definitely fun to put together and it was great for practicing my web design chops after not using those skills for a minute, but I’m excited to try some new things. Stay tuned!
Here’a a drawing based on work by an artist I greatly admire: @chrisburkard . This particular picture of his was taken somewhere that few have ever visited - far above the volcanoes of the remote Aleutian Islands. Despite the ever encroaching creep of civilization, there are places in this Earth that are still beyond difficult to reach, corners of the map that beckon only to those willing to go the distance. Chris is one of the few who can and will make those treks, and thanks to his dedication the rest of us get to witness places we never would otherwise. Thanks Chris!

A little sneak of some stationary for @thewhistlerstudio. ✨🤟🏻 We were inspired by old-school bank receipts because the space was a bank back in the day. It was super important that the brand reflected the history of the space and I’m in love with how it ties together!
4 years ago, I applied to my local university with the broad idea of majoring in English and planning to travel the world to teach English. It was a selfish plan. Indulging in other people’s culture in exchange for “educating them”. I attended Parsons on a whim. It’s funny how here I am 4 years later, graduating from design school with a thesis I’m proud of. Instead teaching the language of my ancestors and learning everyday in new ways to decolonize from a complicated history. My project in full: Let’s Learn Baybayin! A curriculum designed to guide you through the language learning process making Baybayin easy and approachable.
