Good morning darling! Last night, I worked late in my studio, playing around with colours and thick, sticky textures. I used to paint everything quite flat. I didn’t mean to, but I couldn’t bear to “waste” my paint. Now, that has changed, and I love throwing heavy gobs of paint onto the canvas, layer over layer. The layers speak to the history of the painting, imho. I think that makes the work more interesting. I’ll show you more of this painting soon. Maybe even today... Love you! 🧡❤️💗💗💙 #ClaireDesjardins#ThickPaint#Texture#TexturedPainting#BuyArtOnline
Hope you all have a beautiful summer dear friends! 🌻😊💛
Here is a square detail of one of my Sunflower and Lavender field oil paintings. Over the years I made several recreations of this palette knife artwork of mine on commission request. It is one of my favorites work and I am happy that others fell in love of it too. 🌻💜🌻💜🌻💜
I just uploaded this image in my shop so you can purchase canvas prints or related gift products of it if you wish -> click link in bio to check it out 💜
You may have noticed that I've been a bit more present on this Insta-beast lately..?
I've just completed an Insta-for-creatives course with the inimitable @msilonag. We've workshopped planning & aesthetics, captions & communication, growth, etiquette & all things Insta. And this woman knows her stuff!!
Thank you MsIlona, I'm feeling quite the empowered self promoter now! So many questions have been answered & hopefully, as a follower, you have been feeling the love!
I’m taking a break from Inktober 👋🏻 bye bye! Hahaha
Being true to myself, the artwork I’ve been posting recently hasn’t been something I’ve been particularly fond of, but I’d post it to fulfill the requirement. Posting artwork that I know could be better or I’m flat out not interested in the idea from start to finish hasn’t been a good time for me. ☹️ it was mentally wearing me out trying to add this to my daily routine that I’ve decided isn’t worth the strain.
I stuck with Inktober for this long because the thought of me having to take a break made me think I wouldn’t be able to cut it out as an artist on a professional level- which is my goal ☺️ So I kept forcing myself more so to avoid thinking I don’t have what it takes to be a serious artist.
Which isn’t true! 🙅🏻♀️I know I have what it takes- the discipline and drive is not a problem for me, but I need to use my time more efficiently- learning more professional details and techniques, marketing, pricing, so on and so forth.
This 3x4’ painting is still a work in progress, definitely the biggest size I’ve worked on... ever 😂 I’ve been wanting to work on this instead for quite awhile, so I finally said screw it, the paints are coming out. It was SUCH a relief 😌 letting go of something that wasn’t benefiting me and the negative thoughts in my head. So enjoy my progress and some detail shots of my current painting piece.
Don't be Spooked! My spine won't harm you, it only hurts me. YEARS of torturous pain. A new option!!! BUT this life changing surgery is deemed "elective"...It will cost me $58,000...minimum. My friend created a gofundme! I sincerely appreciate all of the support. Any amount helps. Link in bio.
I was very happy to see such a positive response from you all of willingness to see my first Halloween creation of 2019 ❤ ( I hope I will still create something else before month of October will end ) 🤗
Je suis heureuse
d’exposer pour la première fois dans le forum (PARCC-HEPG, Paris) quelques-unes de mes
toiles.
--------------------------------------------
I am happy to exhibit for
the first time in the forum (PARCC-HEPG, Paris) some of my paintings. I started painting a
year ago and my "Textures & Gold" acrylics are textural plays that
allowed me to experiment with materials (acrylic, clay...) and abstract
Thank you to the entire administrative and technical platform team and
especially to Chantal Boulanger and Cyril Mahieux for this great opportunity.
