Hello Lovelies, savory morning cravings: life changing bread (recipe adapted from @mynewroots , I used quinoa flakes instead of oats), with white bean hummus and avocado. Homegrown Microgreens, Chili salt and roasted sunflowers.
Have you ever trued white bean hummus, I love it, since it is super creamy!
Here is the easy recipe:
1 glas of white beans
2-3 Tbsp Tahini
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt to taste
Mix all ingredients in a blender until very smooth. You can add garlic or more spices if you like, thats just my basic version I love for breads, dips and bowls.
Love Verena *****
“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth!” Psalm 34:1 ⠀
The enemy wants to heap discouragement on us and spoon-feed lies to us. He wants to attack us with depression and anxiety because he knows what a very great threat we are to his plans. ⠀
But I have decided that there is nothing he can do that will stop me from praising my God, all the days of my life. ⠀
He may want to ruin my life and take out my body, but he will never have from me what he really wants– my heart, and my worship. ⠀
I WILL bless the Lord at all times; His praise SHALL continually be in my mouth! ⠀
Who is with me? ⠀

you are allowed to do things differently.
this is something I am constantly reminding myself. acknowledging that simply because others do it one way doesn’t mean I need to follow suit. I create the path I am on with every choice I make. and I choose to do things differently.
And that’s a wrap, woop!! Putting the final few finishing touches to editing the amazing wedding story of these two, before they head out in the mail over the Atlantic, because let's face it we all love receiving a big package in the mail, right!?

Blooming orchards are coming! Which means my daughter will be wanting to do another whimsical photo shoot in them, I'm game!!
Thank you to everyone who visited me at west elm Metropolitan on Sunday and The Gantt Center on MLK Day! A special thank you to the organizers for being so welcoming! It was beautiful to see people of many different ethnicities and backgrounds coming together to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King.
I'll be at the farmers market tomorrow 9a-2p. Hope to see you soon.💖 #ilovewhatido

Here’s a different kind of #fridayintroductions before I go off these little squares for three days. ⠀
I’m Amy, lover of guac, painted skies and car dancing. God’s been reminding me of these things lately and I wanted to remind you too. Be encouraged!⠀
1. You might fail but my plan is not reliant on you. You need only rely on me.⠀
2. Some things are scary until they are not.⠀
3. Let go of the past season so you can live this one.⠀
4. Trust your hard work, it’s unlocking doors you can’t see yet because I hold the key.⠀
5. You don’t need the worlds permission to do what God’s commissioned. ⠀
6. Strive for something besides busy and important. ⠀
7. The words you speak become the house you live in. ⠀
8. Even when you leave somewhere, everything you learned stays with you. ⠀
9. Fill up with gratitude instead of expectation.
10. I have this one wild and glorious life and should never be too busy to eat well and sleep well. ⠀
11. If others are hurtful, remember, it’s a reflection of their pain and not who you are, be kind to them. ⠀
Tag a few friends to share these encouraging reminders - happy weekend! ✧⠀

Can’t is the word that is foe to ambition,
An enemy ambushed to shatter your will;
Its prey is forever the man with a mission
And bows but to courage and patience and skill
Hate it, with hatred that's deep and undying,
For once it is welcomed ‘twill break any man;
Whatever the goal you are seeking, keep trying
And answer this demon by saying “I can.”
- Edgar Guest, “Can’t”
Last fall, my parents had the opportunity to meet Caroline Kennedy and hear her speak. (My dad has a pretty cool job). Her stories of memorizing poetry to recite at holidays with her family due to her mother’s love of literature and poetry motivated them to slip this book into my Christmas stocking. My mom said next year we’ll memorize our own poems and recite them (@cscrume 😉) - so, here’s mine, eleven months early. "Can’t" is the word I throw around carelessly when I shut down in response to stress instead of leaning into being stretched, and the word that makes me feel like I am too small to come before God. It’s a word that has broken open the floodgates of negative self-talk, that has often broken me. And I hate it for all of the same reasons Edgar Guest does, but especially because "can’t" isn’t just the foe to ambition - it’s the enemy of truth. In Christ, we are more than conquerors (Rom. 8:37) // we are strong in our weakness (2 Co. 12:9) // we are chosen and redeemed (Eph. 1:4, 7) // all things are possible! (Mt. 19:26). When my reaction to the life He’s given me to walk with Him or the dreams He’s placed in my heart or even the obstacles that I know He’ll carry me through is "can’t," I’m choosing not to believe what Scripture says is true of me and of Him.
Sometimes my energy is gone and my spirit is low and my well is dry - but in those moments, I’m learning to replace "can’t" with "can come to God." If you’re in a similar season of stress, can I encourage you to pick a "can" truth in your life? Maybe you "can believe God" or you "can believe the encouragement of others." Whatever may be for you, Edgar Guest is certainly correct - the only way to fight off the demon of can’t is by choosing a can.
One of our personal favorites and the style that started it all - the Cargo Overall. Here it is in walnut dye. Who knew walnuts can be used for dyeing to achieve a gorgeous neutral color like this!
