  • A little different #transformationtuesday this week. This is right before I found out I was pregnant (so probably 2ish weeks along) and one month postpartum. 🙈😱 During my pregnancy I gained a total of 55 lbs and as of today I’m down 35 lbs. I was having a hard time looking at pictures of myself pre-pregnancy bc I was on track to hit so many of my goals and probably felt the best I have in a long time both mentally and physically. 🙏  but when I look at myself in the mirror or at this photo, I don’t just see added weight and stretch marks- I see tiger stripes from carrying and birthing TWO babies. 👶🏼👶🏼 I see a belly that grew my boys to be healthy and big. I see a proud mama. 💕 To all of the mamas out there, be proud of that mama bod! You are a badass who created LIFE! Love yo’self, girl. 🙏🙌❤️

  • Stop focusing on what you might lose and start focusing on what you can gain 💥 .
I’ve spent years focused on losing weight, just trying to reach my „goal weight“. And you know what?! It was leading me nowhere✖️Doing crash diets, not feeling your body properly, fasting … all of it leads to a loss in muscles AND to an unsustainable lifestyle change. 🙌🏼

It’s important to make changes that you can keep up in the longterm so focusing on health, strength and self confidence is so much more rewarding and so much easier to keep up with in the long term. Nothing feels as empowering as being able to do things you couldn’t do a couple of weeks ago. 🥰

I focus on improving my push ups and pull ups, improving my forearm stand and learning how to do a handstand. And the progress I’ve made in just 4 weeks makes me feel so good about myself because I’ve put so much work in. 💥 Also, I feel like your new physical strength has such a positive influence on your mental strength as well and you can get so motivated by it. 
Making that mindset shift from focusing on how you look to how you FEEL is challenging in the beginning but so worth it! ♥️

I for one absolutely love frozen yoghurt- but a lot of store bought varieties have a ton of hidden nasties! 🤸‍♂️Here is my 2 ingredient QUICK & EASY frozen yoghurt cups- takes a few mins to prep and make! 🙆‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥣INGREDIENTS:
( makes around 12 yoghurt cups) 
500g low fat vanilla Greek yoghurt ( I used unsweetened) 
1/4 cup monk fruit sweetener/ OR a few drops of stevia. ( you can also use 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup if you prefer) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥣METHOD: combine all ingredients above in a bowl- mix in any desired toppings. Place muffin holders into a muffin tin & fill with mixture. Place in freezer and allow to freeze for a minimum of 4 hours before serving! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍦Granola: top each froyo cup with 1 tsp granola ( around 41 cals)
🍦Blueberries: Mix in 1/2 cup blueberries into the mixture (around 36 cals)
🍦Pomegranate: mix in 100g pomegranate into the mixture (around 40 cals)
🍦Pineapple: mix in 1 cup diced pineapple into mixture (around 39 cals)
🍦Choc shavings: mix in 1/8 cup chocolate shavings ( around 44 cals)
🍦Strawberry: mix in 1/2 cup chopped strawberries ( around 35 cals)

💁‍♀️Cheesy, spicy, crunchy- all my favourite flavors! Try this hack out if you want an extra VEGGIE boost! Not only is it delicious, but the bell peopers give the whole dish extra flavor! 💃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Don’t get me wrong, I still always will love delicious corn nachos! But this is a delicious alternative that adds more FIBER and NUTRIENTS🌶 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👈On the left we have 80g corn nachos, topped with 100g veggie mince & 60g cheese cals ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉On the right we have 3 cups colorful peppers cut in half, filled with 100g veggie mince cooked in spices ( you can use whatever protein source you prefer) & 30g reduced fat mozerella. I then bake in the oven until cheese has melted & enjoy !

Here are some of my favorite snacks that I enjoy! 🤗Perfect to take with to work, school or even when traveling! All these snacks have healthy fats to help keep you full and satisfied! These are also some great LOW CALORIE options that are packed with nutrients! 🤸‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍫1)CHOC POPCORN: I like to air pop some popcorn and enjoy it with 1- 2 Tbsp choc chips or chocolate candy! 🍇2)COTTON CANDY GRAPES & CHEESE: this is a snack that literally takes 12 seconds! 🥒3)CUCUMBERS & GARLIC YOGHURT: I take mini cucumbers( if you don’t have mini ones you can slice a cucumber into coins) and make a dipping sauce using 3 tbsp Greek yoghurt, 1/2 tsp crushed garlic, salt & pepper 🍟4)BAKED FRIES & HUMMUS: I slice potatoes or sweet potatoes & bake in the oven or air-fryer with a little oil spray. I enjoy it with hummus as a dipping sauce

  • Let’s talk about BLOATING 🦦 
I know this is a super sensitive and difficult topic but I know that more people are struggling with it so I thought it might help to open up about it. 🥰
I have had problems with bloating for the past 2 months now. It all started when I was really stressed out end of November and December because of exams and I didn’t sleep more than 4 hours each night due to insomnia. 😳
I started to get more and more bloated no matter what I ate. Over Christmas break I thought that things would settle down once I have more time for myself but now, many weeks later things still haven’t gotten better.😭

I tried to figure out reasons, leaving out certain foods but since I mainly eat plant based lactose can’t be the reason and I don’t feel like gluten makes me particularly bloated.
Last week I went to see a doctor but from what I have told him he couldn’t make a diagnosis. He recommended adding psyllium husks to my diet and to see whether it will get better within 3 weeks. If it doesn’t I have to go back and do some tests for food sensitivities. Let’s see whether something improves by changing this small thing about my diet. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Being bloated for me is such a bad feeling, you’re feeling “heavy” even though you didn’t gain weight but it’s constantly feeling uncomfortable. Also, I think it’s important to take these matters seriously because maybe those symptoms have hidden causes and it might be something more serious. 😳

I did a lot of research on things that cause bloating and also how to minimise it and I am going to add some more supplements to my diet from now on like drinking raw apple cider vinegar, eating psyllium husks and taking bitter herbs. 
For now I just hope that there is no severe cause for this and I am trying to solve this problem with this measures. ☺️ Did anyone else experience something similar? Let me know! 🥰 #bloating

Mama, you can do ANYTHING you put your mind to. The fitness journey is hard - the postpartum journey is even harder (for me that is). I will be FIVE MONTHS PP next week and there are days where I feel like I should be further along than I am but then I snap out of it because HELLO ALLISON, YOU JUST HAD TWINS. 🤦🏼‍♀️😅 I get messages saying I have it so together and am killin this postpartum thing but the truth is, being a mom and balancing health and fitness is HARD AF. 😱 It takes so much dedication and commitment because let’s face it, ordering door dash is much easier than meal prepping right? It may be easier but it’s not worth it. One of my favorite quotes by the great @gregplitt (RIP 👼) “Get the Mind Right and The Body Will Follow.” 🙌💕

I have been there - thinking if I reach my goal weight I would be more attractive, more self confident, a better person to be around. But that is simply not how it works. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Losing weight will never change your character if you only work on that. If you want to change start with working on self love, positivity and gratefulness. The way you feel about yourself is also the vibe you send out to other people. 🌟

  • The bachelor is finally back on tonight and it’s fantasy suit week! 🌹 So my favorite is Madison! She’s been my #1 pick since the beginning but...I’m kinda hoping she doesn’t win 🙈 Here is my breakdown: ———————————————
Victoria- go home. In marriage, you can’t have a spouse that is constantly walking away when things get hard and can’t communicate through the hard stuff. 👊🏼

Speaking of food, I wanted to say that my nutrition has been sub-par throughout the challenge. And by sub-par I mean actual rubbish. And by rubbish I mean 20% processed biscuits. With butter. ⁣

I could tell you that eating a balanced diet when you only have access to fresh food twice a month is tough and I wouldn’t be lying 🐒 but the whole truth would include that I probably would have been hooked on processed sweets even if I was back in civilisation, because it’s a very well established habit of mine. If breaking up with old habits and living a fully wholesome life was easy everyone would be doing it 🙌🏻⁣

Just to clarify, I don’t want to cut anything out, but I do want to gradually unlearn compulsive eating, because I know it’s not good for me. It doesn’t set my body up for success in life, you know?? Plus it makes me sick before my afternoon workouts with the cool jungle kids and we can’t let a handful of biscuits get in the way of THAT.⁣

I’m turning to you guys for accountability because I am vowing to make this a goal over the next 12 weeks - But more on that soon! ⁣

  • It’s bittersweet watching your babies grow. One minute they are tiny and would fall asleep on your chest any time during the day...then they are little wiggle worms who want to move around instead of snuggling. Everyone told me this chapter would go by fast and it truly has.💙💙😭🥰

  • A Sunday well spent brings a week of content? Haha Today is going to be a busy but productive day! We leave for our trip in a week so I’m starting the #7dsd tomorrow which means shopping and meal prepping today, cleaning the house, going to orange theory and hopefully finishing my January book! 🙌🏼 What are you up today?? #tiuteam #tiucommunity

  • Progress after 6 weeks of the sweat challenge! 😍
The past 6 weeks have flown by crazy fast! I am so happy I signed up for a gym membership again because I really notice how much training with equipment and going to the gym has helped me with making progress. ☺️
Even though my body hasn’t changed a lot in looks I feel so much stronger and more grounded again having a set workout routine. 
Over the next weeks I am going to continue with my current workout schedule doing bbg and trying to improve myself wherever I can. 🦋

  • My sister is a hottie 🔥 with a body 😂It’s funny because growing up @kristen_machado and I weren’t really close, I was 8 years older and found her annoying most of the time 💁🏻‍♀️ haha but we’ve gotten so much closer in the last few years and it’s so fun seeing your siblings into their more “adult” personalities! She’s got a quick sense of humor, girl gets things done and she’s fiercely loyal! 💗 Now we just need her to move out here after college! 🙌🏼 #sisters #tiuteam
