Striding Edge and Helvellyn - one of my favourite walks as a child - and as an adult! Yesterday we took the easier route up as Stanley and Striding Edge would not be a good combination. Excellent day and great to view the mountain from this new angle.
Art History can be fun :) There are still some places left on my forthcoming Art History course at The Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal
18 Sep – 4 Dec | 6.30 -8.30 pm | Tutor Jamie Barnes | £126 (10 weeks)
A relaxed and informal course dedicated to discovering the secrets and stories in 20th-century art and linking how they relate to the present
This is a leisure course with plenty of opportunity for discussion and debate. Each week the tutor will deliver a short talk on the main theme followed by a look through a series of images relevant to the topic. This will allow further understanding of the topic and a chance to talk more about details of certain key images. Then, after a short break, there will be a ‘feature spot’. This is a shorter session in which we will deal with another topic related to the main theme or use this section as a chance to go deeper into the main topic.
