wasps are just as important as bees and it always makes me so sad to see people mindlessly hating on them :( they’re incredibly important pollinators and eat a lot of other, more harmful bugs!
EDIT: i’ll politely ask you guys to not comment “oh but all wasps are evil” or their ‘bad actions’— animals have no concept of morals and shouldn’t be humanised to the same standards as humans. an animal cannot be ‘mean’ or ‘evil’ because an animal doesn’t understand those terms, they are entirely made up based on human emotion. — @.(see photo)
Today it rained, and the clouds rolled over the mountain tops, so we opted for a woodland walk.
The Gwydir Forest Park is a vast area of mixed woodland, with Atlantic Oak woodlands right through to dense larch forestry. We passed by Llyn Crafnant and took in "the best view in Wales", but the clouds didn't part.
Friends! I’m making silkscreened pencil cases and will have them out hopefully by next Sunday when I’m tabling at OCADU’s Artist Alley!!!! Here’s my first design! 🙂 A little friend coming home from school and jumping into their mama’s arms! Hehehe I love them frugs! They're good buddies of mine!
Mr Toad came to visit this evening, he turns up uninvited most nights and looks longingly at the motor car, but we all know his reputation:
“The motor-car went Poop-poop-poop, As it raced along the road. Who was it steered it into a pond? Ingenious Mr. Toad!”
Oh boy, we’re in trouble with this one! Toad’s story is oddly mirroring Simon’s. AND- he even looks a bit like our favorite goober too! Toad is just about weaned and is more than ready for a kitty buddy, but we can’t find any around his size and age who is past quarantine. For now, he gets to be our buddy who goes wherever we go around the house. Rachel tries to play with him while Sasha is fine snuggling him. Hopefully we’ll be able to get him a buddy soon so he can learn to properly cat. In the mean time, we’ll just enjoy all the extra one on one this darling boy is getting. Keep up the cuteness coming, Mr. Toad! #onlytoadkitten#singleton#kitten#toad#kittenlover#cutenessoverload#sunday#atx
So I got a cane toad today not knowing marine toads and can toads are the same thing. I was a little iffy about it at first when I found out (lady said she didn't know anything about them) but I will take care of it like all my other babies.
I was kind of scared to put my hand near it but it's pretty big right now. I was more scared it'd try to bite me than I was of it's toxin.
Found this chonky boi as I was weeding yesterday. These days I'm trying to split time between regular life, parenting, weeding the landscaped beds, gardening, grading homework, and processing things from the garden. I'm looking forward to a slower garden soon, but at the same time excited for my first fall and frost-battling garden. I do it to myself 🤷
