I wanted to be “better”. That’s all I knew. And in the beginning I thought that meant smaller. So, I wanted to lose weight. I wanted to be a size 6 and wear tank tops and shorts without having a panic attack thinking about how my body swayed when I walked. I wanted to believe my husband when he said I was sexy. I wanted to climb mountains and chase my babies and feel capable and strong. I wanted to see myself in pictures and identify with the woman staring back at me. More importantly, I didn’t want to be trapped in this body that I couldn’t stand. When the weight started coming off I thought self-love and acceptance would naturally find me, but they didn’t. The body in the mirror grew smaller… but my self-worth didn’t budge. Suddenly there I was... faced with the reality that my weight wasn’t intrinsically tied to my happiness. That I had been fighting the wrong battle my entire life. And actually… it wasn’t about fighting a battle at all. It was about making peace. I began obsessing over falling in love with myself instead of chasing the number on the scale. But, inevitably the scale seemed to keep the same pace of my new found happiness. As I racked up victories that had little to do with my weight I realized that “better” comes in all shapes and sizes. It was never my body that I couldn’t stand, it was the bully in my head that blamed everything on my weight so she didn’t have to be held accountable. Losing weight has changed my life in so many ways, but it didn’t make me “better”. Loving myself, forgiving myself and accepting myself unconditionally... those things made me better ♥️

Today we started our transformational course @indepthyogaschool. And we had lot of interesting conversations. For example, remember, Age has no reality except in the physical world. The essence of a human being is resistant to the passage of time. Our inner lives are eternal, which is to say that our spirits remain as youthful and vigorous as when we were in full bloom. Мы тут для полного счастья решили всем семейством заболеть😭
У Аниэля это первые сопли в жизни. Из нас троих он легче всего переносит болезнь - бегает, веселится как ни в чём не бывало, тяжело было только первые две ночи, когда насморк мешал дышать. Ничем не лечим, только грудным молоком в рот и морской водой в нос😂А у меня каждая простуда плавно переходит в гайморит. И это жесть, кто сталкивался, тот посочувствует и помашет рукой в комментариях😂👋
Месяц назад мы отказались прививаться от гриппа, так как подумали, что Аниэль в садик не ходит, а я не работаю, заразу нам цеплять особо негде, кроме как с папы😂
И тут настигло... поэтому решено, после выздоровления всем семейством прививаемся от гриппа!
Да, вакцинация от гриппа - это рулетка. Шансы, что учёные точно угадали, какие штаммы будут популярны в этом году - прямо скажем не велики. Но бережёного бог бережёт. Когда ребёнок болеет, это выматывает, а когда и ты до кучи, то это просто джекпот какой-то🤦🏽♀️

As we move at rapid speed towards the end of this year, I’m going to be doing some reflection on Instagram about my health journey. Yesterday, the picture on the left appeared in my time line. I have to tell you, I was so proud of that picture, posted 2 years ago today. I was 227 lbs I had lost 18 lbs since September. I was feeling better, moving better, and encouraged at my weight loss journey beginning. I’m still proud of that picture! Every.Single. Pound. Matters.
But the picture on the right? That picture represents 2.5 years of hard, hard work. I weighed in this morning you guys... and I am 165 lbs. I have never, in my adult life, been 165 lbs. I probably have not weighed that since my freshman year of high school. I am turning 40 in 2020 and I am the healthiest I’ve ever been. I’ve lost 80 lbs total.
When people ask how I’ve done it, I wish I could give people some magical answer... but I can’t. There’s no secret sauce for me. I lost 80 lbs, pound by pound. Working hard. Slowly. And it’s taken me well over 2 years.
I’ll be sharing on social media on Instagram, over the next week, some things that have helped in terms of habit changes- but the process has been the work so many of us know so well.
So whether you’re at 350 lbs, 249 lbs, 227 lbs, or 166 lbs... the journey is one day at a time... and we got this!!! #fitfam#healthlyliving#transformation#100lbsby40

I get that it’s hard to find motivation sometimes. I really do! Sometimes days don’t go as planned or situations arise that get us down and the easiest thing to do is say “I’ll just do it tomorrow”.
Here’s the problem with that...What if the next day goes to crap or you’re feeling down? It’s beyond easy to quickly slip into a funk and eventually just put yourself on the back burner. Don’t get comfortable with that!
If you can fight through the hard times, keeping consistent and focused on your reasons for doing what you’re doing, I promise it’ll be worth it! When you see your hard work paying off in your progress, it’s definitely something to be proud of and happy about. Nobody has horseshoes up their butt all day or has the sun shining on them only...You make the best of the situation and carry on.

Are you a skinny hardgainer trying to bulk up fast? Follow these 4 main principles to start packing on size NOW!
EAT MORE CALORIES
You need extra calories to ensure your body has the resources to build muscle. Aim to consume 200-300 calories over your maintenance and look to gain 1-2 pounds per month. This will keep you packing on muscle without all that extra fat.
EAT MORE PROTEIN
You need enough protein to recover between workouts and to make gains. Get at least .7-1g/lb of body weight each day of protein. 1g per pound is sometimes an easier target to shoot for, and there really is no downside of getting extra protein.
Running a 4 day Upper/Lower Split with a 5th day as an Accessory day is optimal for building muscle. It maximizes muscle protein synthesis (the primary driver of muscle growth) by having each muscle group stimulated 3 days a week. While on a typical bro split you are only stimulating muscle protein synthesis 1-2 days per week.
In order to build muscle and add size you need to be PROGRESSIVELY OVERLOADING your lifts. A simple way is to aim to hit weekly PR's. This means your adding weight to the bar and reps to your key exercises. This forces your muscles to continuously adapt and grow as you continue to challenge them. Keep a workout log to track your lifts to make sure your are continuously progressing to ensure growth!

I love checking back when I started loving the gym. I started last year of college, and it changed my life physically and mentally! I was just like a newbie who didn't take it seriously, always had excuses, and I was so uncomfortable dealing with anxiety. If you are starting your journey, I advise you to keep pushing, try to get some guidance like a PT or learn from YouTube to start learning the form. When you learn the form, you will get comfortable at the gym. Learn about nutrition because it took me half a year to learn that diet is what help me transform my body completely.
Anyways I'm so happy where I am today, and I hope I continue to post about my journey and keep you guys entertained! 😊

Growth. That’s what I am grateful for today. Almost 3 years in at Burn MJ after a decade out of the gym, two c sections, and taking care of everyone else first. Sometimes the growth was a quiet whisper and sometimes it was a loud, “girl, I knew you could it!”. It’s been a journey. One that I will continue on with my no excuses attitude. Nach 6 intensiven Wochen Vorbereitung ging es bei milden 7 Grad ☁️ an den Start an der Saale! 23 km, über 700 Höhenmeter und über 150 Hindernisse hieß es zu meistern, um den härtesten Hindernislauf Europas zu bezwingen.
Aus der letztjährigen Erfahrung gelernt und frei nach dem Motto ,,was du nicht an hast, kann nicht nass werden“ direkt einen besseren Start als letztes Jahr hingelegt!
Nach etwa 18 km hieß es dann Platz 149❗️und die ersten Hindernisse begangen! Nun galt es, Mann für Mann zu überholen um auch nur einen Hauch von einer Chance auf die schwarze Medaille zu haben. Doch direkt bei einem der ersten Hindernisse hieß es: „Betonring gegen Kopf“ - wobei ich jedoch den kürzeren zog😃. Was nun?! Abbrechen oder weiterlaufen?!🧐 Entscheidung getroffen: Weiter ging’s! An den Hindernissen galt es dann die Krämpfe im Zaum zu halten und gegebenenfalls zu ignorieren, was mir glücklicherweise gut gelang, sodass ich nach 23 km mit exakt 02:40:00 h absolut erschöpft im Ziel angekommen bin und erneut mit Platz 98 die vorvorletzte schwarze Medaille der Männer umgehangen bekommen habe! Was ein unbeschreibliches Gefühl❕❕
Ein wahnsinnig geiles Event, was @markus_ertelt und @michael.kalinowski1 da jedes Jahr auf die Beine stellen!
