  • Life is hard for two reasons: because you’re leaving your comfort zone or because you’re staying in it. I love the girl on the left so much. Because she chose to leave her comfort zone and transform into girl on the right. She chose to take one day at a time to get from point A to point B. She chose the hard thing to do instead of the easy thing to do. So can you! 💜 91lbs down and nothing is stopping me now! 💪🏻

  • gym selfies then vs now! not gonna lie - my gym sesh today sucked. i walked out early even. now, i’m all for pushing thru but everything felt heavy, i felt overwhelmed, and just did what i could. let me be real with yall - THIS ISNT ALWAYS EASY. every single day is different and somedays it is like pulling teeth trying to get my workout in, but each day adds up. one bad workout won’t set off everything you’ve worked hard for, and please don’t let it set the tone for the rest of the week. sometimes i struggle with separating those hard, unmotivated, and sucky circumstances from defining the journey, but it’s just a road bump. there’s always tomorrow and one key i’ve learned is to stop being so dang hard on myself! happy #transformationtuesday 🥳

  • Truth time- I’ve been feeling so mundane and unmotivated with posting #transformationtuesday photos. Each week I find an old pic and a new pic and post them side by side for both #transformationtuesday and #facetofacefriday but YALL I’ve been so bored with that so I apologize for those who may have looked forward to mine and I haven’t been posting them as often lately. Today’s transformation comes verbally rather than side by side photos! I came here tonight to tell you all that I planned my day poorly and didn’t wake up early like I like and get in a workout BEFORE WORK. Instead all day I came up with excuses as to why I could skip today or why I didn’t reaallllyyyyyy need to come tonight. I was driving home from work and only like one turn separated me from home and going towards the gym and I swear I subconsciously picked the left turn to go to the gym. I was literally in the car smiling at myself like “ok girl. I see you with those goals!” So, I went and I worked out. Not as hard as I do in the mornings but I DID IT. And I am so proud of overcoming the excuse making game tonight!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 This is 2020 and the year we tell our excuses to KISS OUR ASS!! 😂 @ww

  • Ok so I know I posted the photo on the left for #transformationtuesday last week and I know it’s technically Wednesday BUT I decided to wear the striped tank today and take a comparison shot (or three). Sometimes it’s difficult to realize how much my body has changed in three years because I see myself every day. Being able to compare photos like this really keeps me motivated and keeps me aware that all the consistent work and determination have really paid off. Also, I’m wearing this tank to work today because I really do love it but I think it’s the last time because my bra is visible out the top from every which way lol! #fitgirlsguide #fitgirlphotochallenge #iamwilling #28dayjumpstart

Since starting on my 6 week Operation:ABS program and moving on to monthly coaching we have achieved some ridiculous gains, to say the least.⠀
⠀
I'm going to tell you exactly how we achieved this.⠀
⠀
1. Ryan doesn't often miss training sessions. ⠀
2. He continually makes sure he's making progress by making small increases where he can each week. If he doesn't then the exercises will be swapped out. ⠀
3. We don't chop and change the movements too often, It takes time to improve on exercises.⠀
4. He works offshore so has to train at 2 different gyms and knows to adjust calories based on activity level. He also can't track as easily as he would like but uses educated guesses.⠀
5. He eats 4+ good quality high protein meals every day. This is important for muscle growth.⠀
6. He has gained weight at a very slow pace since august, so slow that it is only muscle he is growing and almost zero fat! (this is tricky).⠀
7. Because he is still so lean we will continue gaining muscle and weight for a long period, this will allow him to make the most of the extra calories before having to go on a cut.⠀
8. He enjoys his training, this makes it easy to stick too. I usually sneak some new challenges in every program to keep it interesting :).⠀
9. He checks in regularly and gives me feedback on everything, even what he enjoyed in certain programs. This creates a great coaching relationship and allows me to advise and support him all the way!⠀
10. I've never heard any excuses 😀.⠀

  • You guys!!! I had to share (with permission of course 😉) my good friend Heather’s transformation from this past year. Since the end of February, she is down 41 pounds!!

10 months doing our at-home fitness programs and following Ultimate Portion Fix for nutrition. 🙌🏻 She once told me her WHY was her family and her health. After her dad had a heart attack at the age of 55 last year she said “I want more for my children and for them not to have to worry about their health. I want to be in control of my body and MY health as much as possible!”

Since last year she has completed 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme and oh - she is TWO workouts away from finishing Morning Meltdown 100!! 💯👏🏻

There’s a lot that changed from there to today. My mindset on food, switch to plant-based, jobs, outlook on life, confidence levels, frequency and types of workouts. AND I FEEL SO GOOD. Like the best I’ve felt in YEARS.🤗⠀

Two years ago I would flip my lid if I missed one day of my exercise routine. Today, I’ve realized life happens and it’s okay if I only make it to the gym 3-4x a week.  I’ve transition my mindset from working out to look better to working out to FEEL better(the outward appearance did just a bonus). ⠀

I’m moving my body to feel better, not to mention my mind. Ah, the sweet release of endorphins👌🏻⠀

If you are stuck beating yourself up for missing a gym day, or terrorizing yourself for eating a donut(s). I get it. I’ve been there. I promise there’s better things about fitnessing than always feeling guilty. ⠀

It just takes consistency and work💕

And we may try to stop it, but every season of life is busy and every busy brings new challenges…⁣ ⁣
And while this may be stopping you from taking care of YOU…it’s really even MORE reason to take care of you! Cause you are NEEDED and wanted, so tell yourself that your plate isn’t too full to take care of YOU…⁣ ⁣
You’ll never regret starting…THAT much I know is true!! ⁣

    As promised yesterday, here is part 2 of my reflections looking back on the previous year. This post and yesterday’s post are not about flaunting accomplishments, but instead are my way of acknowledging the experiences and circumstances that brought me joy.⁣

    I am so grateful for all of the experiences and opportunities that I had, and I appreciate you for allowing me to share them with you on my social media.⁣

  • Let’s talk about weight and appearance

In the first picture I weighed 96.5 lbs and could NEVER gain any more weight. I ate any and everything, I advise you not to do that, but it’s what I did. I wasn’t focused on gaining weight or anything, I just didn’t care what I put in my body and I was blessed with a fast metabolism
.
In the second picture I now weigh 115lbs. I care more about what I put in my body, I focus on the amounts of food I eat, and I overall eat healthier than ever. I’m lifting heavier and I’ve been able to gain a lot more muscle mass all on my own
.
The reason why I’m telling you this is because when I was 96.5 lbs, I was constantly told how tiny I was and to eat more, but I was. I started over eating to gain more weight to stop hearing it and saw the numbers on the scale go up, and I didn’t like the idea of it and decided to eat less to get back to 96.5 which was my “normal”. I was EXHAUSTED, over training to sweat, and ended up not feeling my best, but my overall look made me happy. Time goes by and I was sick of worrying all the time and feeling hungry. I decided to train heavier, eat better, and started gaining back my weight. I wanted to take better care of myself. I now sit at 115lbs, I gained a 🍑, thicker thighs, my waist isn’t as tiny, but I feel MUCH better than before
.
At the end of the day, numbers aren’t what matters, it’s your overall health that does. Don’t let your appearance and people’s words effect who you are and what you do

I spent years restricting and working out as much as possible... and all it led to was weekends of over-eating and a spoon in the peanut butter jar, unable to stop myself. -
I was scared of food making me gain weight. I was scared of missing workouts because I thought I would gain weight. I was exercising vigorously and eating nothing but veggies and meat and yet... I still hated my body. I still wore baggy clothes and felt selfconscious and I was full of guilt and fear around food. 😞

Dieting only brought me periods of weight loss and then massive weight gain. -
3 years ago, I decided I was never dieting again. I decided to work on my body image before I thought about trying to lose weight. I did a deep dive into intuitive eating and practicing releasing guilt around whay I was eating. -
3 years ago I thought... is my whole life going to be filled with fear around gaining weight? It cant be like this. -
I would have NEVER THOUGHT that I would be my happiest and healthiest by just trusting my body. I eat what I want. I workout 2-3x per week. I put my mental health before all else. And I have maintained my weight for 3 years without worrying about it. -
I want every woman to experience this freedom and happiness. Because at the end of our lives we won’t care about how great we ate during the week or how we worked out 5x a week. 
We all just want to be happy and confident, and guess what... we can! -

I have come a long ways from where I started. Instagram is a platform of poses, a place where people choose the best photo out of the 50 they took. Choosing the best angles to make the booty look bigger, sucking your belly in when your bloated, etc. Oh and don’t forget about photoshop! I use to feel bad about myself when I didn’t look as perfect as the people of instagram. •

I’ve learned over the years just how to love myself and accept my body. I’m far from perfect but I am beautiful as I am. •

Tyler’s goal was to lose fat and tone up a bit, but we did a lot more than that as you can see.⁣

I put him in a MINOR caloric deficit and manipulated his macronutrient breakdown to optimize our ability to dip into body recomposition - harder for him because he is more experienced than the average person. My goal with him was to drop fat slowly and also pack on some muscle mass as well, in which we did (clearly).⁣
⁣
In order for body recomp to be done correctly, you MUST be accurate with your protocol, and Tyler was extremely compliant throughout our time together. Tyler never gave excuses and got his shot done week over week.⁣

Slow and steady always wins in the long run.⁣

I told myself that once I came home from my trip it was down to business. I’ve felt so motivated lately. Hitting the gym, hitting my macros and getting my sleep in! ⁣

I also made the decision to get a personal trainer. My goal for this year is to get as strong as possible and I really felt I just needed someone with experience helping me along the way! As a result I’m doing a new program and I have a new split (which has left my body aching in a good way💪🏻). ⁣
