  • What should I caption this? «In action» ? I don't know🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️... A lot of you guys have been asking me "How are you doing lately?" and "What have you been up to? Are you still going to the gym?" So I figured Imma give you the answers.

I'm doing better now (mentally). I'm getting help. Thumbs up for that. I'm in the process of accepting myself. I try my best to come to terms with those aspects of myself that I cannot change. And yes, I'm still going to the gym. The gym is where I can find peace, my second home yk. Nothing much really. I'm just living my life trying to better myself every day. Some things you just cannot change, and that's okay. It's ok to not be ok, but it's not ok to stay that way; You'll get through it all, trust me.

«I don't want to be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately. All I have to do is think of me and I have peace of mind. I'm tired of looking around rooms wondering what I gotta do, Or who I'm supposed to be. I don't want to be anything other than me» <3

Not all stories as a trans person come from a poor childhood experience. I was very detached from my gender as a child. I preferred to wear my brothers underwear and occasionally snuck into my dad's room to steal his as well. I hated to wear dresses but was forced to for Sunday church days on special occasions and holidays. As soon as I got home I would run upstairs and change into my favorite stained and ripped tshirt and jean shorts and go outside to play. Some of my favorite memories are standing in the bathroom with my dad with my plastic razor set, him with his real razor, and lathering up shaving cream on our faces. I couldn't wait to have a beard to shave. Having a very strong religious upbringing instilled a very binary mindset that I knew I just didnt fit into. I tried very. Very hard.
I didnt know the words to describe it then but I have always been masculine. i loved to play the role of dad when ever I played house with my neighbors. I demanded this lovely mushroom cut you see here and as it grew out I rocked a mullet strongly until i was old enough to feel the pressure from other girls that I was never going to get a boyfriend with the way I looked and dressed. Little did they know, I didnt care nor was I interested. I was much happier being the strong, protective, supportive person in all my girl friend's lives. Had I not been told it was wrong to like girls my whole life I'd have realized I had crushes on them.
Regardless I was a very happy kid, my fashion game is influenced by the finds at thrift stores and is still true to this day!

  • Th stuff Snapchat publishes. It was crazy to me to see this. I read the article and it makes me wonder why some of these people were even recommended for medical transition. You can’t just “become a trans man” by not liking typical “girly” things. It also shows just how much some gender therapists actually care about the well being of these people and helping them get the right help they need. They apparently don’t know the difference between discomfort and dysphoria. Media seems to be celebrating being LGBT and making it sound like its a fun choice, or making it all sounds stupid and made up. Sorry for the negative post but this just kinda ticked me off. ~💚 #lgbt #lesbian #gay #bi #trans #ftm #mtf #lgbtq #lgbta #pansexual #asexual #nonbinary #gc2b #lgbtsafespace #transsafespace #lgbtyouth #transyouth

  • HPV can affect anyone! HPV can be transmitted through all types of sexual activity🍑🍆
.
.
This means that no matter how you identify your sexual orientation, gender or what your sexual preferences may be, HPV is something to think about💭
.
.
In some cases, HPV can lead to cancer cells developing in the body, such as skin, blood vessels, urinary tract or organs🦠
.
.
Fortunately, there is a vaccine that protects against 9 strains of the virus💉
.
.
Don’t know if you’ve been vaccinated? Talk to your doctor today... or visit Denver Public Health for low/no cost vaccines on the first floor of 605 Bannock St, Denver CO📍

  • It’s Trans Awareness Week! Did you know, when Complete Harmony was created Melissa wanted to make sure all kids felt included? This meant a safe space was provided for all youth to show up and explore who they are and be accepted no matter what. The trans community is pretty important to Melissa and her family. So this week and everyday we want you to know; we see you, we love you, and we will never stop fighting for you.

  • It’s Transgender Awareness Week and with more visibility comes more understanding.
Think of this - what an empowering moment, to stand up for who YOU are. Then in that same moment being dealt with a tremendous amount of heart ache for standing up for yourself.
Trans people continue to fight to be treated equally after they come out as their true self. Day to day life in most cases is a battle with rejection from family & friends, shammed with discrimination against getting housing or getting a job and even being turned away at stores to do basic grocery shopping. The LGBTQ youth represent as much as 40% of the youth homeless population. Studies have also indicated that as many as 60% are likely to commit suicide.
