The more I travel the world, the more I learn one simple fact... I know nothing. It’s humbling, being out here, and I’m learning to enjoy the journey regardless of if there’s a destination in mind.

Levanta a cortina dos teus olhos,
contempla a maravilha
A vida é uma criança,
esperta, bonita, inteligente
é preciso ver.
enquanto há tempo:
não existe dor sem alento
nem tristeza tão longe da alegria.
Quando a luz de cada dia
acende a vida,
Iluminando o amanhecer,
da imensa alegria de viver. (Ivone Boechat)⠀

This is Me
Oh, anxiety, you son of a bitch.
I planned to write a bit about the Kumano Kodo Trail from this past weekend. But, I know I don't do a great job posting in real-time... both photos or captions. So, I'm opting to be more timely in explaining my current real-life feelings.
Real-life feelings = real-life anxiety.
Meet my first morning in Tokyo.
It was early Tuesday morning and a cold rain covered the city. I was told it was one of the coldest days in Tokyo this year. The afternoon would prove this theory, the occasional cold snowflake tumbling over an achromic concrete jungle.
The chill lingered on my skin and slipped past my jacket, my sweater, and my skin. The sensation penetrating my pores and sinking through to the depths of my core.
And with the chill at my core, the all familiar storm that laid dormant picked up, swirling the anxiety of my mind. My doubts, my fears, my insecurities consuming me.
Retreating from the crowded streets where suits of blue and black were darting like the surges of energy in the neon lights, I found myself staring out over the skyline...
And there I was, in a city of 13.9M people, wondering "who the hell am I?"

London explores the Al Qarah caves in Saudi Arabia
We’ve lived in Saudi Arabia a total of 8 going on 9 years now. Our home is on an international expatriate compound (called Ras Tanura) and we really adore our lives here, but don’t get out often to visit the sites around this incredible country. This sometimes happens doesn’t it??…The whole getting bogged down by life life thing that we don’t fully appreciate the amazingness of where we live? Anyways, I’ve been wanting to change that now that our kids older so this weekend while my Mom was in town we visited an incredible set of caves about 2 hours from our home. So so gorgeous and beautifully preserved. And hey, Saudi now has a tourist visa, so if you come visit me, you’d better bet this will be on our list of places to take you!

All my love,
😉 #foturist_italy#foturistnet#foturist_genova#foturist_liguria
A NEW BLOG POST! Just posted Milos, Greece Travel Guide on the blog and I’m so happy to share about our favorite Greek island with you. Milos is incredibly beautiful with amazing beaches but still unspoiled and not yet crowded! Link in bio 💙
I'm cheap 🤷🏻♀️ and I'm not ashamed to admit it!
I'm fulltime graduate student. This is the first time my tuition isn't covered with scholarships and grants (hello loans and debt). I also grew up in a household of low socioeconomic status. So I guess I don't really have a choice. For those reasons, I always try to find cheap and free experiences whenever I travel or explore my own city.
Yesterday I visited @museumateldridgestreet for a dollar 🤑 with Michelle from @artworldnyc. 😍 On Mondays it's pay as you wish so you can give as little or as much as you want.
