POPPY FIELDS FOREVER 🌺🌺🌺
After inquiring about the fields of poppies dotting the landscape all over Smithfield, VA, we discovered they’re grown for their seeds to use in salad dressings and baked goods 🥯 While we were aware poppy seeds came from the opium poppy—a plant that also produces a milky fluid from which morphine and other opiates are derived—we were unaware that poppy seeds also contain traces of morphine 😳 And though it's not very common, it’s possible to TEST POSITIVE FOR OPIATES after consuming poppy seeds. This struck me (Cindy) as funny 😆 because judging from the sheer amount of poppy seed rugelach (3rd photo) I consumed during my years as a pastry chef, I’m certain if ever submitted to a drug test, I would’ve failed spectacularly 🤣 Swipe for video of a gorgeous sea of candy-apple red poppies swaying in the wind 😳😍

We had a few spots of beauty on a checklist but we stumbled across this gorgeous scene as we were on our way to the next town and I’m so glad we did. This place was absolutely breathtaking. It turns out that it was actually apart of Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park, which encompasses the entire southern shore of Cameron Lake. The park itself was originally established in 1940 to protect the old growth Douglas-fir forest.
This is why we have been a little quiet on Instagram the past few days... Originally I believed we were heading to a guesthouse in Munduk but instead there was a little surprise 😘
Sam had secretly booked a pool villa at @mundukmodingplantation
The villa was absolutely beautiful with an impressive view over looking the plantation and North Bali. Everything about the villa was stunning with a massive bedroom with ceiling to floor windows and big bathroom with a floor bath. An additional touch aswell is that it even came with a private butler 😍
After a candlelit dinner we headed back to our villa and as I walked into the bedroom I saw the decorative words 'will you marry me Aimee?' and Sam bending down on one knee with a gorgeous ring! I said yes with so much happiness and excitement 💍
