  • Litlanesfoss with his bigger older brother Hengifoss up in the distance. It's a shame this waterfall gets overlooked with it being on the same route as the awe inspiring Hengifoss as this place is well worth the visit on its own. With it's huge basalt columns in various shapes and sizes this truly is a stunning location.

  • We call this Iceberg the titanic because it has slowly been falling apart and cracking from the middle.

  • Door to the wilderness.
At the bottom of Hitardalur valley, no more roads. From there you can cross all the way up to North Iceland without meeting anyone. But the path is tricky...

  • Water turns to ice as the black basalt columns and white ice cold waters of the Aldeyjarfoss Falls provide a beautiful contrast of mother nature. #worldtravelerscratchmap

  • Gullfoss Waterfall! Legend has it that two lovers lived on either side of the river, but the current was too strong for either to cross. After years of long-distance romance the man made the trek across the swift moving river above the falls. Thankfully, he made it and the two lived happily together from then on. #gulfoss #gulfosswaterfall #waterfall #iceland #traveliceland #findmorewithles #ringroad

  • I think the most romantic thing you can do is just turn up. Turn up when it's difficult for you. Travel halfway around the world or just up the road. Whatever it is, just be there. — James McAvoy

  • “Your life is a canvas. Make sure you paint yourself a whole lot of colorful days.”🎨🖌
.
📌#seydisfjordur is said to be the most charming town located in East Iceland and I couldn’t agree more. A picturesque fishing town full of colorful houses surrounded by mountains and waterfalls and located in the mouth of a majestic fjord.

  • Take me back, Iceland 😍 Everything about this trip was amazingly breathtaking - from the people to the views and the history, it continued to get better and better with every day. While we all had literal anxiety attacks about hiking on a glacier, it was definitely the best experience I’ve ever had while travelling. Despite the photographic quality of this view, the basic achievement of actually doing it and overcoming it makes it for me. It was also interesting to get into the moulins in the glacier and see the layers of ice and ash mixed together, coming to sharp points and creating mini caves within in the glacier. Iceland was just breathtakingly stunning all around 😍🇮🇸 #BeIntrepid
