  • My favourite thing about @sundownfestival was this gorgeous light art installation called 'Plastic Fantastic' by Julian Huang from Weave Artisan Society, a Chiang Mai based organisation that collects recyclables to upcycle them into art or repurpose them in a variety of useful ways.
They manufactured this installation out of a canapé of 450 pieces of recycled plastic marble. Each one of those tiles was made using recycled plastics and was then after the festival being donated to @epicarmy, a Malaysian organisation that empowers local communities to develop and enable housing solutions to communities in need.

This art installation addressed and highlighted both the urgency in the issue of waste and the solutions that are available to live more sustainably. Particularly as the festival was held by the sea, this art piece was designed to actively engage the festival goers to be more mindful of their waste. Measures to harvest the festival's plastic waste were put in place to avoid littering the beaches and the ocean.
Some effort was made in trying to raise awareness, definitely room for improvement before they reach a carbon neutral status but taking action is already driving a positive force in the festival industry which is admirable. They're facing their environmental impacts head on rather than ignoring them 💜🙌 #thenittygrittyguide

  • Gardens by Night🌙
Feeling like I'm an Avatar on the planet Pandora as the metal trees brimming with plant life jutt high into the moon-lit sky and I am surrounded by the night sounds of crickets. Walking amongst these infrastructure combined nature trees lit up in magical colors is a must see if ever traveling in Singapore. ❇

  • Despite the heat and humidity that has been bringing my energy level down, this place did a great job distracting me. It was so beautiful 😍 I can only describe Gardens by the Bay as otherworldly, alien paradise and probably the closest I'll get to feeling like I was in Avatar...

  • All the delicious colours of Little India in a single photograph ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 While I do have an eternal love for pastels, I couldn’t help but be impressed by all the vibrancy of this Singaporean neighbourhood 👌🏻
