  • Happy Sunday! ☀️ I’m about to go out for a slow recovery ride after yesterday’s big ride. I did my longest mountain bike ride to date! And no falls! 💪🏼
I’ve done a handful of 15 mile rides in the past. My longest ride ever was 21 miles but 6 of those miles were riding the streets back to the Airbnb in Utah.
Yesterday I did 19 miles of all trail riding with quite a bit of climbing! Living in Houston I don’t get much climbing so when I can find a friend who wants to go tackle some hills, I’m in!
I’m in the process of deciding which new bike to buy so I’ve been demoing as much as possible. Today I rode the Trek Fuel EX 9.8. I loved the suspension for chunky downhill but didnt like the overall feel of the bike. 🤷🏻‍♀️I never fully felt in control or comfy like I did on the Specialized Stumpy which meant less skills training than I wanted.
At least now I know I’m back to just over analyzing stumpy and epics 🤣 I never would have thought I would have been this picky about a bike but it really does make a huge difference what kind of bike you ride for your style of riding! 🚴🏻‍♀️
