Raging waves on the Reykjanes Peninsula! Can you believe this place is only 20-30 minutes away from the airport?!
This area is called Valahnúkamöl and was prettier than we could EVER imagine! Apart from this majestic rock set out in the middle of the ocean, there are tons of other rock formations and sea cliffs.
Valahnúkamöl is a popular area for birding and there were TONS of birds flying around. We are so thrilled we got to visit here when it was moody out! It was actually so moody and foggy we had to drive super slow and you couldn’t even see this rock for the first 30 minutes we were here.
We ended up spending 4 hours at Valahnúkamöl because it was just that gorgeous! Highly recommend a stop here in both rain or shine on your trip to Iceland as it did not disappoint.
