#astronaut or #cosmonaut ?
Actually, it’s an ASHtronaut. One of the most famous murals in Berlin, in the world, in the universe. So pleased that I got to visit this stellar work by Victor Ash (@victor__ash), painted in 2007. .
I’ve got hundreds more photos from Berlin, but it’s time to move on. Next stop, Budapest...
In the basement of @davidtotah is a fluorescent installation by the prolific @kennyscharf. Scharf is known for his squiggling animated creatures in bright and bold colors and now they have taken over the gallery’s basement. It reminds me of Scharf’s historic Cosmic Caverns. I can imagine how crazy but also fun his parties were. I have seen two renditions of his caverns in the last few years and I think that this installation embodies the spirit of his parties but illustrated like his street art and works on canvas. I was so excited to walk around the installation and thought it was fun that nails, shirt, phone case, and bag were glowing along with the paintings.
" NEW DAY" // @beautifulbflo turned a pen and ink illustration of the city of good neighbors into a larger than life mural wrapped around the central staircase of @dashsmarkets this past week. Go check it out!
