Btw.

  • 🇬🇧 Today we went to the National Civil Rights Museum, which is located inside the former Lorraine Motel. On April 4th, 1968 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on the balcony outside room Nr. 306. From slavery to the civil rights movement of the 1960s until today, it was a moving experience which should remind everyone to never stop fighting for equality, because every human should be treated equal, no matter what color, religion, gender or sexual orientation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • One of my favorite things about Portland is how much they love reading and giving old books new life! I purchased this mystery book from a secondhand store and I loved the concept of being given something new that I could discover without judging it first ❤️ Turns out it was a legal thriller, which was hilarious to me in hindsight!

  • On the way out of Annapolis, we spontaneously stopped in Cumberland, Md., this little town I’ve ridden past on the highway a couple times and wondered “WHAT IS THIS CUTE TOWN??” Turns out it is indeed very cute. A little slow on a late Sunday afternoon but oozing with charm, independent galleries and bookstores, cafes, antique shops, gorgeous architecture. Just might go back for a weekend sometime! What’s your favorite place you’ve just “stumbled” into?

  • 5 things that will make your adventure better⠀
⠀
Traveling is much better when it's planned. ⠀
You don't know where to start? ⠀
Here we gathered all useful tips for you in one place.⠀
Don't forget to save them while reading⠀
⠀
🔽⠀
✔Decide how long your trip will be: 4 days, a week or a month. Length of the trip is very important, it determines whether you should visit a large country, small, or just a region. ⠀
⠀
✔Deciding on a country.⠀
We suggest you have several options. If you focus on a specific country, flights might be very expensive and expenses not worth it. A list of countries and important information about them would be helpful before deciding: which countries have dry season during specific times of the year, when it is summer or winter there, is visa required, and is it simple to get it. ⠀
⠀
✔Draw out a route. That's where the real planning starts.⠀
You will require to read a lot, filter out anything unnecessary, and finding what you personally like. For example, we would most likely skip the big cities and concentrate on the nature, a real souls of any country 😊 This type of travel planning requires more time.⠀
⠀
⠀
✔Create a budget. It's been tested and proven that people spend much more money in cheap countries than in expensive ones, due to people being much more careful with their finances in expensive counties. 💵 It is important to find out prices for expeditions, museums, safaris, lodging, transportation and food ahead of time. ⠀
⠀
✔Pack your luggage. A most important moment before traveling. Carry on is better for mobility.⠀
For those that like longer tables and more stuff, a check in suitcase will work. ⠀
📷⠀
How do you prepare for your travels? Do you plan every detail or do you prefer spontaneous experiences? Do you budget your trip, or just let it go with a flow?

  • Oh, this house! This picture does not do this amazing house justice. This past Thanksgiving, my mother-in-law & I were taking a walk toward the beach @sea_island Georgia. As a result of my profession, I see a lot of houses on a daily basis but this one was super special. The sandblasted brick, Chippendale woodwork & gas lanterns made you feel like you had been transported to a different time. Just beyond the trees, we heard the waves rolling & realized the home was right one the beach. We just stood admiring this beautiful space for at least 15 min (sorry if you are the owners of this home & saw two ladies salivating over your home for what must have seemed like an hour:). My mother-in-law (who we all call Madre) said, “Just take a quick picture. You may want to remember this one.” She was right & I was glad that I did! #sea_island
